LL League Playoffs – 1st Round
Northern Lebanon 51, Ephrata 38 – Four Lady Vikings scored in double-figures with Olivia “Red” Shutter leading the way with 16 points. Saoirse Phillips, Hayley Sheroky, & Kasey Weimer each scored 10 points. Northern Lebanon (20-3) will face Manheim Township on Monday in the LL Semifinals. The game will take place at Hempfield, 7:30 pm.
Lebanon 63, Columbia 40 – Lili Harrison recorded her 1,000th career rebound and Kailah Correa scored 32 points as the Cedars rolled the Tide. Lebanon (20-3) will face Lancaster Catholic on Monday in the LL Semifinals. The game will take place at Hempfield, 5:30 pm.

New Convenant 42, Harrisburg Academy 15
Boys Basketball
New Covenant 79, Harrisburg Academy 51 – Freshman Alex Hart led the way with a dynamic 27 point, 16 rebound, 6 assist, 5 steal performance. Grant Canakis also registered a double-double with the junior tallying 13 points & 10 rebounds. With the win, the Flames have seemingly locked up a District 3 Playoff spot. New Covenant (13-9) will be in action in the CCAC Playoffs on Monday against Coventry Christian before finding their District 3 fate.

Friday, February 7th
Girls Basketball
Lebanon 66, Milton Hershey 53 – The Cedars finished their regular season with a victory over the visiting Spartans in an early game on Friday afternoon. Kailah Correa lit up the scoreboard with 32 points, a total that included four three pointers. Lili Harrison added 14 points and Olive Brandt scored 13. Nina Harrison was also key in the victory, hitting two threes on her way to 7 points. Lebanon (19-3) will start their postseason on Saturday afternoon when they host Columbia in the 1st round the LL League Championship Tournament.
Red Land 32, Palmyra 28 – In the 4th quarter, a strangling defense from Red Land allowed them to turn the tables, denying Palmyra the victory. Mya Doster scored 15 to lead the Lady Cougars, while Addi Salus scored 9. Palmyra (9-11) will finish up the regular season on Monday with a road game at Carlisle.
West Perry 36, Annville-Cleona 34 – West Perry escaped with the win, but it was not made easy. Kendall Cooper scored 15 points & Ava Hoover had 10 points as the Dutchmen too the Mustangs down to the wire. Annville-Cleona (13-8) will wrap up the regular season on Monday when they travel to Biglerville.
Veritas Academy 63, Our Lady of the Cross 27
Boys Basketball
Palmyra 63, ELCO 54 – The Cougars won their third game in their last four contests as they make a late season push towards District qualification. For Palmyra, Braydon Bown nailed five three pointers on his way to a game-high 22 points. Micah Warner added 13 points, while Luke Grumbine went 6-6 from the line to finish with 10 points. ELCO was led by Micah Gray, who hit three treys on his way to 14 points. Also for the Raiders, Josiah Hayes scored 12 points and Kaden Shultz Tillison was good for 11 points. ELCO was especially good from the foul line, connecting on 15-16 attempts. Palmyra (9-12) will finish up the regular season on Monday with a home game against Red Land. ELCO (8-14) has wrapped up their season.
Thursday, February 6th
Girls Basketball
ELCO 40, Lower Dauphin 39 – Trailing 30-28 heading in the 4th, the Lady Raiders dug deep to push across the finish line for the win in their final regular season game. Maddie Stout scored 6 points down the stretch on her way to a team-high 15 points. Kenzie Eckhart had 4 points in the final frame as part of a 14 point night. ELCO (12-10) will now wait to find out their District 3 fate, as this win all but guaranteed the postseason for them.
Our Lady of the Cross 37, Linden Hall 27 – Riley Hatzfeld scored 21 points & Sarah Ventura added 10, as the Lions earned the road win. OLC (11-6) will be back in action on Friday for their fifth game in five nights when they travel to take on Veritas Academy.
Wednesday, February 5th
Girls Basketball
Our Lady of the Cross 49, Fairfield 41 – Riley Hatzfeld hit four threes on her way to 35 points to lead the Lions to the win at home. Sarah Ventura added 10 to the point total. OLC (10-6) continues a busy end to the regular season with an away game at Linden Hall on Thursday.
Cedar Crest 51, Governor Mifflin 47 [OT] – Elli Malinoski led the Lady Falcons with 21 points in the exciting overtime win. Fellow freshman Ali Groff scored 10 points. Kaila Francis went 3-4 from the free throw line in the 4th quarter & OT, finishing the game with 7 points. Cedar Crest (13-9) has wrapped up the regular season and will soon start their postseason push.
Boys Basketball
Milton Hershey 63, Cedar Crest 59 – For the Falcons, Isaac Wolfe scored 18 in an effort that included four treys, while Danny Speaks hit two threes on his way to 17 points. However, it was not enough, as the Spartans were able to grind out the win. Cedar Crest (14-7) will be in action on Monday when they host Lancaster Country Day in the 1st round of the LL League Tournament.
Lancaster Mennonite 48, Annville-Cleona 38 – Jon Shay scored 20 & Elisha Slabacg added 13, but Mennonite was able to use a strong 1st half to keep the Dutchmen from pulling an upset. Annville-Cleona (12-9) will look to cap off the regular season with a win when they host Camp Hill on Monday night.

PIAA Team Championships
Prelim Round: Sun Valley 37, ELCO 28 – The ELCO Raiders battled hard, but lost in their first ever appearance in the State Championship Tournament. Aleric Raihl, Kane Kline, Ashton Kriss, Klint Miller, Brinley Donmoyer, & Cody Landis each won matches. The six match victories was only one less than the seven won by Sun Valley. By winning his match, Ashton Kriss, a junior, earned his 100th career victory. With the conclusion of their historic season, which included a 15-3 record, the Raiders will now begin to prepare for the individual postseason.
Girls Basketball
Lebanon 49, Manheim Township 39 – Kailah Correa scored her 2,000th career point to become the 10th female in the history of the Lancaster Lebanon League to reach this milestone. She is the 5th to hail from LebCo, joining the exclusive club that includes members: Becky Hower (LC), Carla Munnion (CC), Alyse Hoover (CC), & Ashli Schwab (ELCO). Correa ended the game with 14 points, giving her 2,001 for her career. Leading the scoring for the Cedars was Lili Harrison with 17 points. Olive Brandt added 12 points. Lebanon (18-3) will finish off the regular season at home on Thursday against Milton Hershey before starting the LL League Tournament on Saturday afternoon.
Annville-Cleona 51, Our Lady of the Cross 36 – Annville’s Kendall Cooper scored 27 points to lead the Dutchmen to victory over OLC and a 31 point, five three-pointer, effort by Riley Hatzfeld. Ava Hoover, back from injury, added 8 points for AC. Annville-Cleona (13-7) will play Biglerville on Thursday before finishing up the regular season on Friday against West Perry. OLC (9-6) will have a very busy schedule starting on Wednesday against Fairfield in the second of four games in four days.
Palmyra 49, Hershey 32 – Addi Salus scored 18 & Mya Doster added 16 as the Lady Cougars rumbled to the road win. Elyse Ancharski was 8-8 from the foul line. Palmyra (9-10) will play Friday at Red Land before finishing the regular season on the road at Carlisle.
Cedar Crest 37, Penn Manor 27 – Kaila Francis scored 21, including going 5-5 from the foul line, to lead the Lady Falcons in the scoring department. Freshman Elli Malinoski added 11 points. Cedar Crest (12-9) will finish their regular season on Wednesday with a home game against Governor Mifflin.

Boys Basketball
Palmyra 47, Hershey 45 – Down by as many as 13 in the 2nd half, the Cougars finished strong to defeat the Trojans (#2 District 3 – 5A) for the first time in many years. The comeback included a 20-point 4th quarter led by Alex Dorta who scored 10 of his game-high 23 in the final frame. Luke Grumbine scored 8 points (4-4 FT), all of which came in the 2nd half. Palmyra (8-12) will play at ELCO on Friday before finishing up the regular season on Monday with clash at home against Red Land. If the Cougars win both games, they have a great chance to make Districts.
Cedar Crest 62, Penn Manor 57 – The Falcons clinched the Section 1 Championship with the home win over the Comets. Danny Speaks led the scoring with 22 points. RJ Young also registered double-figures with 10 points. Cedar Crest (14-6) will travel to play Milton Hershey on Wednesday before playing Octorara on Monday in the 1st round of the LL League Tournament.
Monday, February 3rd
Girls Basketball
Lancaster Catholic 48, ELCO 39 – Maddie Stout scored 14 & Kenzie Eckhart added 10 points as the Lady Raiders went toe-to-toe with the Crusaders. ELCO (11-10) will wrap up the regular season on Thursday when they host Lower Dauphin.
Boys Basketball
New Covenant 57, Fairfield 30 – Talan Vanderploog led the scoring for the Flames, as the sophomore finished the game with 21 points, an effort that included going 11-13 from the free throw line. Alex Hart also reached double-figures with 10 points. New Covenant (12-8) will play at York Country Day on Tuesday before finishing up their regular season on Thursday at home against Harrisburg Academy.
Annville-Cleona 55, Bermudian Springs 47 – Elisha Slabach scored 22 & Jon Shay added 20 points as the Dutchmen picked up the road win after trailing by one at the half. Slabach’s 12-12 performance from the foul line ended up being key in keeping Bermudian Springs from making a late charge. Annville-Cleona (12-8) will host Lancaster Mennonite on Wednesday before finishing up the regular season next Monday against Camp Hill.
Northern Lebanon 56, Gettysburg 45 – The Vikings picked up the home victory in their season finale. Brady Krall registered 22 points to lead the way, with Andrew Via tallying 12 points & senior Riley Messinger scoring 11. The Vikings finish their season 6-15-1.
Manheim Township 59, Lebanon 45 – The Cedars got off to a slow start against a stout Township defense and found themselves trailing 17-2 at the end of the 1st quarter. However, the Cedars continued battling to put up 43 points over the next three quarters of action. Ihab Abdallaoui led Lebanon with 18 points, all of which came in the 4th quarter. Lebanon (7-14) will finish their season on Thursday night when they make the trip to Cocalico.
ELCO 57, Lancaster Catholic 52 [OT] – Kaden Shultz Tillison scored 19 points to lead the Raiders as they won on the road in overtime. KST’s two 3PTs in the 4th quarter helped to extend the game. Austin Smith, who scored 9 points between the 4th & OT, finished with 13 points. Micah Gray also found himself in double-figures, scoring 12. ELCO (7-13) will host Blue Mountain on Wednesday before finishing up their season at home on Friday against Palmyra.
