Season Recap: Annville-Cleona was undoubtedly a strong team this year, but had to contend with ELCO and Lancaster Country Day in Section 3. To put into context how skilled they were, they lost a very tight, 4-3 match with ELCO. The team was led by seniors Maddie Summers and Kaylyn Stokes. Together, they finished second at the Lebanon County Championships. In addition to the seniors, junior Laney Kreider dominated from the #2 singles spot, giving the Dutchmen the upper-hand against most opponents.

Lancaster-Lebanon League Section 1
Final Record: 6-8 overall, 2-5 in Section 1
District Power Ranking: #26 AAA
Results: Season Schedule & Results
Season Recap: The 2022 Cedar Crest team was better than what their record indicates, a result of the level of talent they saw when playing against their Section 1 opponents. The highlight of the season came when the Falcons exhibited a total team effort to claim a share of the Lebanon County Tennis Championship. They were led by their #1 and #2 singles players, Kaitlyn Do and Annie Forry. It is worth noting that Do and Forry were both juniors and should be back for more next year. This is welcome news to Coach Finley who lost five seniors following the 2021 season. On the other hand, Crest will be losing talent in the form of Talia Thomas, a consistent player throughout 2022 and who with her partner, junior Madeleine Kase, took second in doubles at the County Championship.
ELCO Raiders
Lancaster-Lebanon League Section 3
Final Record: 10-3 overall, 7-1 in Section 3
District Power Ranking: #11 AA
Results: Season Schedule & Results
Season Recap: This ELCO team was a dangerous group in match play, equipped with solid players throughout the line-up. They finished second in Section 3 to Lancaster Country Day, the eventual PIAA District 3 AA Champion. As a team, the Raiders carried their regular season success into the Lancaster-Lebanon League Tournament and defeated Section 2 runner-up Lampeter Strasburg in the first round, before falling in the semifinals to Manheim Township, the eventual league champion and runner-up in District 3 AAA. The MVP of the team was senior Ali Bender, who led the team both on and off the court. Bender was also the team’s top singles player, qualifying for Districts after placing third at Leagues. Bender also teamed with fellow senior Camryn Lehr to form a dynamic doubles team. Together, they finished fourth in the District 3 Championship Tournament.
Lebanon Cedars
Lancaster-Lebanon League Section 2
Final Record: 0-12 overall, 0-7 in Section 2
District Power Ranking: #47 AAA
Results: Season Schedule & Results
Season Recap: It was a tough year for the Lebanon Cedars when it came to the win/loss metric. Within the grind of the season, it’s a matter of what they athletes learn about the sport and also themselves that will make them stronger for the future. The lone senior was Aaliyah Ferrer, so there is hope that the foundation has been laid for the talent to blossom going forward. Speaking of developing talent, it was junior Iris Krouse who was able to give Cedar Crest’s Kaitlyn Do a challenging match at the Lebanon County Championships. When the two teams met head-to-head later in the season, the Cedars were able to take a point in their refusal to be shut out by their cross-town rivals.
Northern Lebanon Vikings
Lancaster-Lebanon League Section 3
Final Record: 2-8 overall, 1-7 in Section 3
District Power Ranking: #31 AA
Results: Season Schedule & Results
Season Recap: Though the Vikings finished the season with only two wins, they put up a fight in a majority of their matches. Coming into the season, they knew that they had depth problems, which ended up hindering their overall efforts as a team. They were led by seniors Aryana Via and Cora Lerch, who played hard throughout the season and made it difficult for opposing players. The hope for 2023 is that the younger players can continue to develop, while they also add some new athletes who are willing to learn the sport.

Season Recap: The Palmyra Cougars finished the 2022 season with another ten-win effort. As a team, the major highlight came as they captured a share of the Lebanon County Tennis Championship for the third consecutive year. Their team leader was senior Nitya Patel, who individually qualified for the District 3 Championship after making a run in to the semi-finals at the Mid-Penn Championships. Patel was joined by fellow senior Marissa Nicholson as the pair qualified for Districts as a doubles team after taking silver in the Mid-Penn tournament. At Districts, they were able to win their opening round match-up against a team from Hempfield.
