There was an error made in the earlier version of this article, that suggested both AA & AAA take the same path to States. It has now been updated to be correct.
On Saturday, Lebanon County wrestlers took to the mats for their chance to earn a spot at either the District 3 Championships (AA) or the Regional Championships (AAA), which will both take place next weekend.
When all the matches had been completed, TWENTY-FIVE Lebanon County wrestlers earned their spots in the next round in their quest for a State medal.
THREE Lebanon County Wrestlers made it to the top of the podium, claiming gold. The wrestlers winning Section championships were Northern Lebanon’s Aaron Seidel, Lebanon’s Griffin Gonzalez, and ELCO’s Steven Rosado. Griffin Gonzalez was named the Most Outstanding Wrestler at the AAA Section 1 Tournament.
AA
Section 2
Annville-Cleona and Northern Lebanon were placed in Section 2, competing against sixteen other schools at Central Dauphin East.
At this level, the top six in each weight class qualified for Districts, with the top eight earning a spot on the podium. District qualifiers are colored blue.

AAA
Section 1
This tournament took place at Governor Mifflin High School and featured three of our Lebanon County teams: Cedar Crest, ELCO, and Lebanon. Overall, there were fifteen teams that competed within Section 1.
In this tournament, the top four in each weight class qualified for Regionals. The top six in each weight class were awarded a spot on the podium. Regional qualifiers are colored blue.

Palmyra was the lone Lebanon County team in the Section 2 tournament that was hosted by Hempfield. The Cougars were one of fifteen teams to hit the mats in Landisville.
As with the Section 1 tournament, the top four in each weight class qualified for Regionals. The top six in each weight class were awarded a spot on the podium. Regional qualifiers are colored blue.
