Mifflin County 55, Palmyra 48
With Addi Salus still sidelined, the Lady Cougars traveled to Mifflin County, a venue that is never an easy road trip. Despite the long bus ride, Palmyra got off to a strong start behind the hot shooting of Kaylee Seltzer, who scored 7 points in the opening quarter, and Elyse Ancharski, who added 5, as the Cougars built an early 17–8 lead.
Mifflin County responded in the 2nd quarter, flipping the momentum to take a 29–25 advantage into halftime. The Huskies continued to add to their lead in the 3rd quarter, despite a three-pointer from Emily Bearinger.
Palmyra made a push in the 4th quarter, cutting into the deficit as Seltzer and Ancharski each scored 5 points and Shay Rutter knocked down her second three-pointer of the night. However, the comeback effort fell just short.
Seltzer finished with a team-high 17 points, while Ancharski joined her in double figures with 12.
Palmyra (4-4) will now have time to regroup before returning to action on January 5th, when they host Red Land.
