Lampeter-Strasburg 3, Northern Lebanon 2 (LL Quarterfinal)

Northern Lebanon finished the regular season as the Lancaster Lebanon League Section 4 Champions. As a result, they hosted Lampeter-Strasburg, the Section 2 runner-up, in a quarterfinal matchup of the LL League Playoffs.

A 1st inning RBI double by Connor Stoltz gave Northern Lebanon a 1-0 lead. That score would remain until the 4th inning, when the Pioneers were finally able to tie it up. Lampeter was able to tack on an additional run in each of the 5th and the 6th as they took a 3-1 into the 7th. However, Northern Lebanon was not done fighting. An RBI single by Andrew Via to score Xander McQuaide made it a 3-2 game. The Vikings would continue to make noise, but the rally ended just short of making the comeback.

Via was the top Viking hitter in the game as the sophomore went 3-4 with a double and RBI. Moises Gonzalez reached base in all four of his plate appearances and was on base (along with Adrian Gonzalez) when the game ended.

Adrian Gonzalez was on the hill for the Vikings and had another solid outing despite taking the loss. He finished the game surrendering three runs in total, only two of which were earned. He struck out four LS batters.

Northern Lebanon (18-3) will now wait to find out who they will play in the District 3 Playoffs.
