Annville-Cleona’s Hafey Repeats at #1 Singles, Palmyra Edges A-C for County Team Championship

For the second straight year, the Lebanon County Girls Tennis Championship ended with Nia Hafey atop the #1 Singles bracket and Palmyra claiming the team title.

Hafey successfully defended her championship Saturday at Annville-Cleona High School, defeating ELCO’s Delanie Hartman 6-1, 6-1 in the semifinals before topping Palmyra’s Anna Rashid 6-4, 6-2 in the final. Rashid, last year’s #2 Singles champion, reached the title match after defeating Cedar Crest’s Lexi Ramsey 6-3, 6-3.

Palmyra did its biggest damage in doubles. Trini Martinez and Audrey Hamsher captured the #1 Doubles title, defeating Cedar Crest’s Kara Robertson and Sarah Gerhart 6-3, 6-2 in the semifinals before rolling past Annville-Cleona’s Allie Smith and Sophia Sirriannia 6-0, 6-1 in the championship match.

The Cougars also won #2 Doubles behind Hope Reichley and Alana Frawley, who defeated Annville-Cleona’s Charlotte Clyde and Vivienne Taylor 6-0, 6-0 in the semifinals and Cedar Crest’s Emma Hartman and Clara Tawadrous 6-1, 6-1 in the final. ELCO’s Trinity Donough rounded out the individual champions by winning #2 Singles, defeating Palmyra’s Claire Busher 7-5, 6-0 in the semifinals and Annville-Cleona’s Devyn Meyer 6-1, 4-6, 10-6 in the championship.

Those results produced a tight race for the team championship. Palmyra finished with nine points, edging host Annville-Cleona by a single point. Cedar Crest was third with five points.

For Hafey, the win marked a repeat at the county’s top singles position, while Martinez and Frawley also repeated as county champions after winning doubles titles with different partners in 2025. Palmyra, meanwhile, successfully defended the team championship it captured a year ago.
