Thursday, May 1

Softball

Northern Lebanon 12, Cedar Crest 1 [F/4] – Lynsie Mauser was on the mound for the Lady Vikings, giving up 2 hits & collecting 10 Ks. Liv Shutter hit a home run & a double as part of a 3-4, 2 RBI day. Also aiding NL were Addison Kubica & Riley Thompson as each had 2 RBI. Mia Lutz hit a solo shot for Crest’s lone run.

At 15-2, Northern Lebanon is currently the #5-ranked 4A team in Pennsylvania.

 

Baseball

Northern Lebanon 13, Cedar Crest 7 – The game was knotted 6-6 going into the 6th where the Vikings scored 7 runs to break away. Owen Fahringer & Andrew Via each had 2 RBI, while Adrian Gonzalez scored 3 runs, going 2-3 with 2 walks. Vincent Battistelli picked up the win in relief, going the final 2.1 innings & holding Crest to 3 hits & a run. The Falcons were led by Vinnie Good, who went 3-3 with a walk & 3 RBI.

Carlisle 13, Lebanon 3 [F/6] – The Herd jumped out to an early 7-0 lead in the 1st inning, but the Cedars kept battling through 6 innings. Will Parker had an RBI for Lebanon, while Josh Haulman went 2-3 to raise his season average to .269. Diego Serrano doubled & stole two bases.

 

 

 

Thursday, May 1

Boys Tennis

District 3 Playoffs

#1 Dallastown 3, #8 Cedar Crest 0

 

Softball

Elizabethtown 16, Lebanon 2

 

Baseball

Palmyra 16, Donegal 4 [F/5] – Julian Meley & Aiden Willard each had 4 RBI as the Cougars earned the road win. Braydon Bown pitched 4 innings, striking out seven to earn the victory. Palmyra is now 18-0.

 

Boys Volleyball

Cedar Crest 3, Hempfield 0 [25-21, 25-15, 31-29] – Leading the Falcons in the three-set victory were Aidan Vukovich (4 aces, 11 kills, 3 blocks), Jack Wolgemuth (14 digs), Jacob Alnoor (3 blocks), & Ryder Rohrer (31 assists).

Lebanon 3, Garden Spot 0 [25-18, 25-23 , 25-15] – The Cedars were led by Tyson Griffiths (11 kills, 2 aces), Zeek Vasquez (6 blocks), Savion Perez-Crespo (22 assists), Yadiel Gonzalez (22 digs).

 

 

 

 

Wednesday, April 30

Softball

Cedar Crest 21, McCaskey 20 – The Lady Falcons had a big night offensively & held off a late rally by the Red Tornado to earn the hard-fought victory. Kate Poorman led the way, going 4-6 with 2 doubles & 6 RBI. Julia Cole had a double & a triple for 2 RBI. Addison Nolen, who doubled, accounted for 3 RBI. Other major contributors included Ava Rosario (3-4, 2 BB, 3 R, 2 RBI), Gwen Zimmerman (4-5, BB, 4 R, RBI), & Lydia McClintic (2-4, BB, 2 RB, 2 RBI).

ELCO 4, Manheim Central 2 – The Raiders scored 3 runs off of a Chloe Shirk home run in the 1st inning, then Gabby Smith held the Barons in check the rest of the way. Smith pitched a complete game, giving up 2 runs (1 ER) on 3 hits. She had 10 Ks. 

Northern Lebanon 16, Cocalico 4 – The Lady Vikings exploded for 9 runs in the Top 7th to put to bed any thoughts of an upset. In the game, both Carley Umbrell & Ryleigh Hopkins had 3 hits & each scored twice. Addison Hollenbach, Olivia Shutter, & Alyssa Shirey each had 2 RBI. Stephanie Palkovic pitched 4 innings for the victory before Lynsie Mauser finished off the final 3 innings in relief. 

Palmyra 12, CD East 6 – Emalyn Funck went 3-4 & 4 RBI to lead the Lady Cougars. Funck was also on the mound, earning the win in a complete game effort, striking out fourteen. Ava Walmer was also 3-4, scoring three times & also collecting an RBI. 

Lancaster Catholic 10, Annville-Cleona 0 [F/6]

 

Baseball

Palmyra 9, CD East 1 – Aiden Willard had a triple, scored twice, & drove in three runs to lead the Cougars. Braeden Sommer also loomed large with 2 RBI. Blake Dieter earned the win, pitching 6 innings while giving up an unearned run. Palmyra is now 17-0.

Northern Lebanon 10, Pequea Valley 0 [F/5] – The Vikings scored 9 runs in the Bottom 5th to end the game early. Connor Stoltz, Brian Bicksler, Andrew Via, & Blake Burdick each had 2 RBI. Bicksler pitched all 5 innings, giving up just one hit to earn the shutout. Bicksler had 6 Ks.

Annville-Cleona 2, Lancaster Catholic 1 – With the score knotted at 1-1, Annville-Cleona walked it off in the Bottom 7th. Colten Shaffer started the game, giving up an unearned run in four innings. Noah Morcom, who also had 2 of AC’s 5 hits earned the win as the Crusaders were held scoreless over the final three innings. With this win, the Dutchmen qualified for next week’s LL League Playoffs as the Section 4 runner-up.

Boys Tennis

District 3 Playoffs

AAA: #8 Cedar Crest 4, #9 Daniel Boone 1 – Cedar Crest will face #1 Dallastown on Thursday.

AA: #7 Camp Hill 3, #10 Annville-Cleona 2

AA: #9 Bermudian Springs 3, #8 ELCO 2

 

 

Softball

Northern Lebanon 10, Upper Dauphin 0 [F/5]Addison Hollenbach had 12 Ks in a no-hit performance. She also reached base safely in each of her four at-bats, going 1-1 with 3 walks & 3 runs scored. Olivia Shutter, Lynsie Mauser, & Stephanie Palkovic each had 2 RBI.  

Donegal 7, ELCO 5 – Abby Ruth had a home run & 2 RBI to lead the Raiders, but a late flurry of offense by Donegal helped to spoil ELCO’s hopes of picking up the road win.

 

Baseball

Northern Lebanon 6, Lancaster Catholic 1 – Playing at the Stormers’ home field, the Vikings defeated Catholic to claim their 2nd straight LL Section 4 Championship. Owen Fahringer went 3-3 with an RBI, while Adrian Gonzalez gave up a run & had 6 Ks over 5.2 innings. Vincent Battistelli finished the game, keeping the Crusaders off the board the rest of the way.

Cedar Crest 3, Manheim Township 0 [25-23, 25-17, 25-17]

Cocalico 3, Lebanon 0 [25-14, 25-15, 25-14]

Palmyra 3, Red Land 1

Northern Lebanon 3, Conestoga Valley 2 – This upset victory was the second big win for the Vikings in as many nights. NL was led by Sam Kolacek (17 kills), Carter Kubica (37 assists), Carlos Polanco (4 blocks), & Peyton Ream (5 digs).

Monday, April 28

Softball

ELCO 20, Garden Spot 0 [F/3] – Abby Hassler & Gabby Smith each hit a home run, as Smith held the Spartans hitless in the contest.

Northern Lebanon 2, Manheim Central 1 – At the plate, Lynsie Mauser was 3-3 with 2 RBI. On the mound, she allowed 3 hits, 1 unearned run, & struck out 8 over the course of 7 innings.

Annville-Cleona 15, Lancaster Mennonite 0 [F/4]

Solanco 15, Lebanon 0 [F/3]

Lower Dauphin 16, Palmyra 1 [F/3]

 

Baseball

Palmyra 3, Lower Dauphin 2 – Down 2-0 in the 6th, the Cougars rallied with two in the 6th before scoring the go-ahead run in the 7th. Nate Osteen had 2 RBI, including the game-winning run. Ty Peck hit an RBI double to tie it. Jonathan Strohecker went the distance, giving up 5 hits & striking out 6. With the victory, the Cougars clinched the Mid Penn Keystone Division Championship.

Lebanon 5, Solanco 0 – Diego Serrano threw a complete game, two-hit shutout to lead the Cedars to their 3rd straight victory. Sebastian Cruz was 4-4 with 3 RBI that came off a 2nd inning homer. Ben DiScuillo got the scoring started with a 2 RBI single in the 1st.

Annville-Cleona 13, Lancaster Mennonite 0 [F/5] – Noah Morcom led the Dutchmen, going 4-4 with a double, triple, & 2 RBI. Traian Dompier got the win, giving up 2 hits while collecting 6 Ks.
