1st Round (4A) – Northern Lebanon 47, Central Columbia 42 (2 OT) – The Lady Vikings were down 32-22 with about four minutes left in the game. As Central Columbia tried to keep the lead, Northern Lebanon kept applying more pressure, led by their scoring leader, Olivia Shutter. In the final quarter of regulation, Shutter scored 11 points, including converting an “and-one” with fifteen seconds left as Central Columbia was hoping to hold the ball. Following the late push that forced overtime, a 2nd extra period was needed to decide the outcome, with the Lady Vikings being the victors. Shutter finished the game with 17 points. Kasey Weimer, who carried Northern Lebanon early in the game and provided key free throws in overtime, finished the game with 15 points. Other scorers for NL included: Saoirse Phillips (9), Hayley Sheroky (4), & Mac Miller (2). Northern Lebanon (23-5) will play in the Round of 16 on Wednesday when they will travel to a neutral site [TBD] to play Villa Joseph Marie, the District 1 Champion.
1st Round (1A) – DelCo Christian 67, New Covenant 42 – @ Lebanon HS – In the game, Qynne Demler scored 19, while Miracle Hershey had 11 points and Alayna Zimmerman had 10 points. Zimmerman also added 10 rebounds. However, it was not enough to keep up with the District 1 runner-up. New Covenant (18-5) will be poised to build on most successful season in program history, especially considering that Hershey was the only senior on the roster.
