Miller Garners All-American Status

Congratulations to Gage Miller on being named an All-American by two different organizations. The Palmyra product was named a 2nd Team All-American by Perfect Game College and a 3rd Team All-American by the National College Baseball Writers Association. These impressive accolades follow the recent announcement that he was named a Division 1 All-Southeast Region 2nd Team selection by the American Baseball Coaches Association.

After transferring to the University of Alabama from Bishop State Community College, Miller immediately made an impact for the Crimson Tide. In 55 games, Miller batted .381 with 18 home runs, 56 RBI, and 72 runs scored. He touted an on-base % of .474 and a .702 slugging %. These lofty stats led Alabama in hits, home runs, RBI, runs scored, total bases, OBP, and SLG.

Miller’s outstanding play has not gone unnoticed by decision-makers at the highest levels of the sport. Several MLB teams have him on their radar for this year’s draft, which is set to take place in mid-July. We wish Miller all the best as he prepares to hear his name called.  (Published 6/10 @ 11 pm)

His win and strikeout total are single-season records for the school.

On Monday, he added another accolade to his resume when he was named a 1st Team All-American.
