Bowling: District 3 Championships – Full LebCo Results

On Saturday, the District 3 Bowling Championships took place at the Hanover Bowling Center. The top forty+ female and male bowlers from the District earned invitations to compete.

There were four athletes representing LebCo schools. On the girls’ side, ELCO’s Morgan Kline and Northern Lebanon’s Paxton Horner qualified. For the boys, it was ELCO’s Hunter Heinsey and Cedar Crest’s Toby Zombro who were competing.

Each bowler competed in five qualifying rounds. The top six bowlers then advanced to the head-to-head ladder rounds.

Kline, the two-time Lancaster Lebanon League Champion, was the lone LebCo representative to make it past the qualifying rounds. In fact, her score of 1168 placed her as the top seed going into the Finals. Having earned a first-round bye, the senior Wichita State recruit was edged out 204-196 in the semifinals. This earned her a bronze medal.
