Annville-Cleona 52, Octorara 16
The Dutchmen entered Monday night’s home game against Octorara as winners of four of their last five, and they showed why early on.
In the 1st quarter, Annville built a 12-4 lead, with five different Dutchmen contributing on the offensive end—an early sign of the balanced attack to come. Just as important was the defensive intensity, which set the tone for the rest of the night.
That formula continued in the 2nd quarter, as Georgia Sellers and Cait Shay each scored 6 points to help Annville stretch the lead to 33-10 by halftime. Coming out of the break, the Dutchmen left no doubt, outscoring Octorara 16-2 in the 3rd quarter to put the game firmly out of reach. Once again, Sellers and Shay were at the forefront of the scoring surge.
Sellers finished with a game-high 17 points, while Shay went a perfect 5-for-5 from the free throw line on her way to 11 points. In all, nine different Annville-Cleona players contributed to the scoring effort.
Annville-Cleona (8-6) will be back in action on Wednesday when they host Lancaster Country Day.

Cedar Crest 46, Hempfield 27
Cedar Crest entered Monday night’s “Youth Night” at home as winners of three straight, a run that has vaulted the Lady Falcons to the top of the Section 1 standings. Against Hempfield, they had an opportunity to further strengthen their postseason positioning.
The game opened at a deliberate pace, with the Black Knights edging out to a 10–8 lead after one quarter, despite 4 points apiece from Ryan Stopper and Kaila Francis. That brief advantage would be Hempfield’s last of the night.
In the second quarter, Cedar Crest tightened up defensively and found its rhythm offensively, carrying a 22–12 lead into halftime. Elli Malinoski provided the spark, pouring in 8 points in the period.
Hempfield answered in the third quarter, but Cedar Crest continued to extend the margin. Francis scored 7 points in the frame, including a three-pointer, as the Falcons maintained control.
Entering the fourth quarter with a 35–22 lead, another strong defensive stand allowed Cedar Crest to comfortably close out the victory.
Francis scored in all four quarters and finished with a game-high 19 points. Malinoski added 14 points, hitting a three-pointer and going 5-of-6 from the free throw line.
Cedar Crest (9-5) will look for win number 10 when they travel to face McCaskey on Thursday.
