Girls Basketball Outlook: Northern Lebanon

  Northern Lebanon Vikings 2022-2023 Girls Basketball

Last season, Northern Lebanon’s roster was exclusively made up of seniors and freshman.  The tough part of that equation is that they lost several key seniors to graduation, including Ashlyn Messinger (now tearing it up for Clarks Summit).  However, when considering  the latter, this should be good news for the team going forward, as Coach Ken Battistelli was able to give key minutes last year to his younger players. Among that class of sophomores is Olivia Shutter, who should be a key piece of the Vikings’ offensive attack this season.  Additionally, Northern Lebanon welcomes a talented class of freshmen, including Hayley Sheroky and Kasey Weimer, that will provide immediate assistance to their team.  Of course, the downside here is that there will be growing pains, a fact that is known to Coach Battistelli.  His goal for the team is to keep developing and improving on a daily basis in order to overcome the likely challenges.  He feels that they are ready for this challenge, as they want to someday  add to the championship banner in Northern Lebanon’s home gym.
