This weekend, the Wrestling postseason continued with the AA and AAA schools taking different paths to States. Athletes from Annville-Cleona and Northern Lebanon competed in the District 3 Championships (AA). Wrestlers representing ELCO, Palmyra, and Lebanon competed in the South Central Regional Championships (AAA).
For the larger schools competing at Regionals, the event at Spring Grove High School would serve as the last stop before States. In 2024, this was the end of the line for all of LebCo’s AAA wrestlers, as none qualified to go to Hershey. This year was a much different story. Six LebCo wrestlers earned medals and five will advance to the PIAA Championship Tournamt. ELCO’s Klint Miller and Palmyra’s Jason Foutz made it all the way to the finals and finished with silver medals. Both Miller and Foutz reserved their tickets at States and will be joined by Kyle Miller and Kane Kline, both of ELCO, along with Palmyra’s Aaron Andrew.
The District 3 Championship served as a qualifier for next weekend’s Southeast Regionals that will take place at Bethlehem Freedom High School. Thirteen LebCo wrestlers earned medals at the event, with nine advancing to the next round. Headlining the medal haul were Northern Lebanon’s Aaron Seidel and Sam Wolford, who each repeated as District 3 Champions.
For Seidel, it was his 4th straight District 3 title. His win in the finals was also the 199th of his storied high school career, tying him for the most all-time in PIAA history. He is expected to set the record when he competes at next weekend’s Regional Championship.
The Girls had the weekend off as they prepare for their Regional Championship, which will be held at Penn Manor High School next Saturday.

South Central Regionals (AAA)
Following Sectionals, the AAA wrestlers went straight to their Regional competition, a two-day event held at Spring Grove High School. ELCO, Lebanon, and Palmyra were among the forty-eight teams competing. Each wrestler entered the tournament with the goal of earning one of the top four spots that would qualify them for the PIAA State Championships in Hershey. The top six in each weight class earned medals.
When all of the wrestling was complete, six LebCo athletes had earned medals, and four punched their tickets for States. Just a season ago, no one qualified.
ELCO finished 8th in the team standings due in part to earning four medals. Sophomore Klint Miller led the way with a silver medal-winning performance at 160 pounds. His older brother, Kyle Miller, took bronze at 215 pounds. Both Millers took 5th place last season, just missing States. However, they will both be making the trip to Chocolatetown, USA, this year. Freshman Kane Kline will also be a member of the ELCO contingent wrestling at the Giant Center.
Palmyra will also have two entries at States following the impressive performances by senior Jason Foutz, who finished as the runner-up at 107 pounds, and Aaron Andrew, who finished 5th. Foutz and Andrew are the first Palmyra wrestlers to make States since 2017. The last time Palmyra sent two wrestlers to States in the same year was 1987.

District 3 Championships (AA)
On Saturday, twenty-six teams were represented for the AA District 3 Championships at Central Dauphin East High School. Annville-Cleona and Northern Lebanon were among the schools vying for the opportunity to earn spots at next week’s Southeast Regional Championship at Bethlehem Freedom High School.
LebCo wrestlers combined for thirteen medals. With the top six from each weight qualifying for Regionals, a total of eleven of them were able to automatically advance to Regionals. The qualifiers are highlighed in green*.
Northern Lebanon finished 3rd in the team standings, behind only Bishop McDevitt and Berks Catholic. Headlining the day was the Vikings’ Aaron Seidel, who won his 4th straight District 3 Championship. In again claiming gold, Seidel won his 199th career match, tying him for most all-time in PIAA history.
Seidel’s teammate Sam Wolford also struck gold, his 2nd straight after winning at 107 pounds in 2024. Karter Adams came close to adding a third gold for Northern Lebanon but fell in a tight 4-1 decision to Greyson Music, a native of Annville who now wrestles for McDevitt. Landon Graby, Hayden Adams, Carter Wolford, and Sincere Perez also qualified for Regionals.
Annville-Cleona had three medalists, led by a 4th place finish by sophomore Blaine Leitz. Oliver Funck, who finished 5th, joined Leitz in qualifying for Regionals.
