Annville-Cleona Sweeps Lancaster Catholic to Close Dual Meet Season
Warm conditions greeted Annville-Cleona on Monday afternoon as the Dutchmen hosted Lancaster Catholic in their final dual meet of the regular season. While the temperature climbed, a steady breeze helped keep things comfortable as Annville-Cleona put together a strong all-around showing at home.
The Dutchmen came away with a sweep, with the girls earning a 98-43 win and the boys adding a 75-56 victory.

Annville-Cleona’s girls controlled the meet with balance across the track and field events, using strong work in the distance races, relays, jumps, vault, and throws to build the team score.
Mackenzie Stellmach delivered two individual wins for the Dutchmen, taking the 1600m in 5:27.0 before returning to win the 3200m in 12:41.3. Annville-Cleona also swept the top three spots in the 800m, with Leah Tshudy winning in 2:36.1, followed by Paige Stoltz and Gracie Troxell.
The Dutchmen also picked up relay wins in the 4x800m and 4x400m. In the field, Madison Long won both the Long Jump and Triple Jump, while Caitlin Shay took the Pole Vault. Anabella Pulaski added a win in the Javelin, Lillian Manwiller won the Discus, and Nora Hoover took first in the Shot Put.
Lancaster Catholic found success in the sprints and hurdles, with Erin Senkowski winning the 100m Hurdles and 400m, while Miriam Stefanow won the 100m and 200m. Lillian Altimare added a win in the 300m Hurdles, and Amia Walker won the High Jump.

Annville-Cleona’s boys also closed the regular season with a strong team performance, using major points in the distance races, jumps, vault, and throws to hold off Lancaster Catholic.
David Moran led the track effort with wins in both the 1600m and 800m. The Dutchmen swept the 1600m, with Moranwinning in 4:41, followed closely by Oliver Funck and Benjamin Boyd. Funck later won the 3200m in 10:37.1, with Hunter Troxell taking second.
In the field, Annville-Cleona stacked up key points. Ben Allwein won the High Jump, Luke Tshudy won the Pole Vault, and Dominic Wentling had a huge day in the throws, winning both the Discus and Shot Put. Luke Wentling added a second-place finish in the Javelin.
Lancaster Catholic countered with strength in the sprints and hurdles. Brandon Way won the 100m, Andrew Moore took the 400m, Christopher Baumler won the 200m, and the Crusaders also captured the 4x800m, 4x100m, and 4x400m relays. Julian Montalvo-Melecio won the 110m Hurdles and added a win in the 300m Hurdles.

With the sweep, the Annville-Cleona boys finished the regular season at 5-3, while the girls moved to 4-4. The Dutchmen will now begin final preparations for the Lancaster Lebanon League Championships, which are set for this Friday and Saturday.
