District 3 Power Rankings Update – January 27, 2025

This is a brief look at where each of the LebCo teams rank in the Power Rankings.  There may sometimes be a lag in some of the Power Rankings, but this will give you an idea where each local Basketball stands as the regular season gets close to the ned.

You’ll see which Boys Wrestling teams qualified for Districts, along with their upcoming match-ups. Keep in mind that Girls Wrestling is not yet a Power Ranked sport.

Below the rankings for each team is an ordered list of the rankings of each LebCo team in Girls Basketball and Boys Basketball. That ranking is based on the District 3 Power Rank rating assigned to each team.

   Annville-Cleona Dutchmen 

 

Girls Basketball:  11-6 / 4th – 3A  / Last Week: 3rd / Top 6 qualify / 5 games remaining

Boys Basketball:  10-7 / 12th – 4A / Last Week: 12th / Top 8 qualify / 4 games remaining

Wrestling (B):      12-5 / 10th – 2A / Last Week: 9th / Qualified for Districts

    • On Monday, January 27th, #10 Annville-Cleona will travel to #7 Littlestown. If they win, they will travel on Wednesday to take on #2 Berks Catholic.

 

 


      Cedar Crest Falcons 

 

Girls Basketball:   10-8 / 14th – 6A / Last Week: 14th /Top 16 qualify / 4 games remaining

Boys Basketball:   12-5 / 8th – 6A / Last Week: 9th / Top 16 qualify / 4 games remaining

Wrestling (B):   0-11 / 62nd – 3A / Last Week: 61st / Team season complete

 

 


 ELCO Raiders  

 

Girls Basketball:   10-8 / 11th – 5A / Last Week: 9th / Top 14 qualify / 4 games remaining

Boys Basketball:   5-11 / 25th – 5A / Last Week: 24th / Top 16 qualify / 6 games remaining

Wrestling (B):       11-1 / 6th – 3A / Last Week: 7th / Qualified for Districts / Both the Boys & Girls were crowned as LL Section 3 Champions 

    • On Tuesday, January 28th, #6 ELCO will take on #11 Central Dauphin at Northern York. If they win, they will face the winner of #3 Northern York/#14 Exeter.

 

 

 


   Lebanon Cedars

 

Girls Basketball:   15-3 / 4th – 6A / Last Week: 4th / Top 16 qualify / 4 games remaining – LL Section 1 Champions

Boys Basketball:   6-13  / 23rd – 6A /  Last Week: 21st / Top 16 qualify / 3 games remaining

New Covenant Flames

 

Girls Basketball:   12-2  / 3rd – 1A / Last Week: 4th / Top 10 qualify / 4 games remaining

Boys Basketball:   10-7 / 10th – 1A /  Last Week: 11th / Top 10 qualify / 5 games remaining

 

 


Northern Lebanon Vikings

    • On Monday, January 27th, #3 Northern Lebanon will host #12 Upper Dauphin. If they win, they will travel on Wednesday to face #4 Biglerville.

 Palmyra Cougars

    • On Tuesday, January 28th, #16 Palmyra will travel to #1 Conestoga Valley. If they win, they will face the winner of #8 Wilson/#9 Gettysburg later in the evening.

* A loss to Parkersburg High, WV is not reflected in the Rankings, since they are out-of-state

 

 



 

Girls Basketball LebCo Power Rankings

Below is how the LebCo teams stack up when comparing their Power Ranking. These numbers can vary drastically based on strength of schedule.

With every LebCo team in position to make the District 3 Playoffs, the Cedars continue to lead the pack, wrapping up their 4th straight Championship with Friday night’s win over Cedar Crest. New Covenant made a big move this past week with three wins.

Boys Basketball LebCo Power Rankings

Below is how the LebCo teams stack up when comparing their Power Ranking. These numbers can vary drastically based on strength of schedule.

Cedar Crest continues to lead the way, while Annville-Cleona was the big mover this past week following the return of Elisha Slabach to the line-up. Palmyra continues to remain competitive and will be worth watching in the final couple weeks of the season as they could make a run at a District Playoff berth.
