On Saturday, thirty female runners representing LebCo schools competed at the District 3 Cross Country Championships at Big Spring High School. This contingent included three full teams who qualified based on their races at the Lancaster Lebanon Lebanon and Mid Penn Championships. To advance to States, an individual or team has to qualify at the District meet.
For our local racers, there will now be one full team and an individual racer who will be running at Hershey next Saturday. Annville-Cleona claimed the AA Championship in convincing fashion. They were led by Mackenzie Stellmach, who became the District 3 Champion, clocking a winning time of 19:28.6. Also medaling for the Dutchmen for top twenty finishes were Lucy Stellmach (3rd) and Caitlin Shay (18th).
Joining the Dutchmen next weekend will be Cedar Crest’s Eliana Schneider, who qualified for States based on her 27th place finish in the AAA race.
Below are the full results for each LebCo runner that competed, broken up by classification. Underneath are the combined race results, regardless of classification.
The LebCo Boys results from Districts can be found here.

The Dutchmen combined for 71 points to outpace 2nd place finisher Octorara, who finished with 100 points. The win by junior Mackenzie Stellmach and a 3rd place finish by her sister, freshman Lucy Stellmach, helped lead the way for Annville-Cleona, who claimed their second District 3 AA title in three years.
