Golf Results Tracker: August 27-28

Wednesday, August 28th

LL Section 1 @ Four Seasons

On a Wednesday afternoon, Section 1 met up for their third of six regular season matches, this time at the Four Seasons Golf Club. Cedar Crest was the only thing hotter than the weather, as they carded a 287 (-1) as a team. Their total was 22 strokes better than 2nd place Manheim Township and 43 strokes ahead of 3rd place Ephrata.

Leading the way was junior Dylan Ramsey as he shot an incredible 66 (-6). Senior Ethan Rader was 2nd overall, carding a 71 (-1). Carson DiBiaso (74, +2) and Isaac Wolfe (76, +4) closed out the scoring. Also competing for Crest in the varsity match were Jackson Seidel (80, +8) and Davin Kolter (84, +12).

In the match, the team scores were as follows: Cedar Crest – 287; Manheim Township – 309; Ephrata – 330; Warwick – 332; Penn Manor – 333; Hempfield – 346.

The current standings after three rounds are:

Cedar Crest: 15-0

Manheim Township: 12-3

Warwick: 8-7

Penn Manor: 5-10

Ephrata: 5-10

Hempfield: 0-15

The teams will meet again when they Warwick hosts a September 4th match at Overlook.

 

 

 

Tuesday, August 27th

LL Section 4 @ Royal Oaks

Section 4 was back in action on Tuesday, with Annville-Cleona hosting the match at Royal Oaks. Pequea Valley again led the way, collectively scoring 313 between its top four players.

Annville finished 2nd overall with a 347, going 4-1 on the day and running their record to 12-3 for the season. Leading the way was junior Logan Francis, who carded a 75 (+4) to become the medalist for the third straight match. Francis was joined in the scoring by Wesley Heller (80), Aiden Lezon (95), and Owen Wright (97). Kipton Heller (107) and Luke Cisney (120) also golfed in the varsity match.

The Lebanon Cedars also competed with Ben DiScuillo again leading the Cedars, this time with a 99. Zach Leffler (111), Rolen Firestone (114), and Trinity Leeper (138) took on the challenge of the eighteen-hole course.

Through three rounds of Section 4 golf, the standings are as follows, with a notably crowded field vying for 3rd place:

Pequea Valley: 15-0

Annville-Cleona: 12-3

Lanc. Country Day: 6-9

Lanc. Catholic: 6-9

Lanc. Mennonite: 6-9

Lebanon: 0-15

On September 3rd, the teams will meet again when they move across Oak Street to the Lebanon Country Club, where Lebanon will have its turn to host.
