This was the first year for Girls Wrestling to be an officially sanctioned sport at Annville-Cleona and Lebanon. Over the weekend, they joined ten other Lancaster Lebanon League schools in competing at the River Rock Challenge, the “unofficial” LL League Championship that mirrored the boys competition. In total, fifty-two females competed at the event. With girls wrestling on the verge of having enough schools to be an official PIAA sport, you can expect this number to continue to grow.
Representing the Lebanon County contingent were a total of five athletes, whom all wrestled with pride. It was the crew from Lebanon who claimed three medals following performances by Aleicha Rivera Andino, Gabrielle Hetrick, and Perla Chavez.
