Annville-Cleona Sweeps Columbia in Chilly Road Meet
With a bonus round of cold, breezy weather settling over the area on Monday, Annville-Cleona hit the road for a dual meet at Columbia. The Dutchmen handled the cold just fine, turning in a dominant road performance on both sides.
Annville-Cleona swept the meet, with the girls rolling to a 125-6 victory and the boys following with a 108-29 win. The road sweep pushed the Dutchmen boys back to .500 while the girls continued to show growth with another strong all-around showing.
Girls Recap: Annville-Cleona 125, Columbia 6
The Annville-Cleona girls controlled the meet from the outset, piling up points on the track, in the field, and in the relays. Bailee Kohr got things started with a win in the 100m Hurdles (18.8), and the Dutchmen also took first in the 4x800m Relay (14:06.7) before sweeping the top three spots in the 1600m behind Leah Rotunda, Paige Stoltz, and Lucy Stellmach.
Annville-Cleona kept that momentum going in the middle-distance and distance events. Jada Morales, Nora Hoover, and Mia Cantor went 1-2-3 in the 400m, while Lucy Stellmach, Paige Stoltz, and Valentina Russo swept the 800m. In the 3200m, the Dutchmen again owned the event with Leah Rotunda first, Sheerer second, and Caitlin Shay third.
The Dutchmen also found plenty of success in the field. Madison Long won both the Long Jump (15’4″) and Triple Jump (31’10”), while Dana Hoover led a sweep in both the Shot Put and Discus. Anabella Pulaski added a win in the Javelin at 100’9″, and Annville-Cleona swept the High Jump as well behind Alayna Dalton, Jenna Ulrich, and the tied third-place pairing of Nora Hoover and Pena.
Columbia’s lone event win came in the 100m, where Amnesty Welch narrowly held off Flavia Armando and Joanna Roserie. Beyond that, the Dutchmen left little doubt, winning every other contested event on the way to a runaway team victory.

The Annville-Cleona boys were just as sharp, especially in the distance races, hurdles, throws, and jumps. David Moran won both the 1600m (4:48) and 400m (54.1), while Benjamin Boyd added wins in the 300m Hurdles (45.3) and a runner-up finish in the 1600m to help power the Dutchmen.
Annville-Cleona also swept multiple distance events. Hunter Troxell, Gradyn Sanders, and Thornsberry went 1-2-3 in the 800m, while Oliver Funck won the 3200m and Oliver Brandt added a third-place finish. The Dutchmen also won both the 4x800m Relay (14:06.7) and the 4x400m Relay (4:22.2).
In the field, the Dutchmen were dominant. Ben Allwein won both the Long Jump (18’10”) and Triple Jump (36’11.5″), while Dominic Wentling led a huge throwing day by winning the Shot Put (47’0″) and Discus (146’11”). Hudson Sellerswas right behind with second-place finishes in both throws and then added a win in the Javelin at 130’8″. Annville-Cleona also swept the High Jump behind Levi Custer, Elijah Epler, and Ben Allwein.
Columbia’s best work came in the sprints, where the Crimson Tide swept the 100m and also picked up second-place finishes in the 200m, 400m, and Triple Jump. But Annville-Cleona’s depth everywhere else was too much, as the Dutchmen controlled the meet and finished off a convincing road sweep.
