Big Contributions and Postseason Berths Highlight Another Week
Goals, assists, conference tournament berths, and nationally ranked competition headline another busy week for Lebanon County’s collegiate field hockey alumni.
As Lebanon County’s high school field hockey teams turn their attention toward District 3 postseason competition, many of the area’s former players are working toward championship opportunities of their own.
With the college regular season entering its final stretch, familiar names from Annville-Cleona, Cedar Crest, ELCO, and Palmyra continue to contribute at programs across all three NCAA divisions. For some, the past week brought individual scoring accomplishments. For others, it meant helping their teams secure postseason opportunities or compete against nationally ranked opponents.
LebCoSports is back with another College Field Hockey Alumni Check-In, highlighting the latest accomplishments of local graduates during the week of October 18–24.

Cisney Sparks Ohio Comeback With Goal and Assist
Annville-Cleona graduate Tori Cisney delivered another impressive performance for Ohio University on October 18, helping the Bobcats rally for a 3-1 victory over Mid-American Conference opponent Longwood.
Ohio entered the fourth quarter trailing 1-0 after Longwood broke a scoreless tie in the third. Cisney helped turn the contest around, scoring the equalizer just 1:20 into the final period.
The sophomore midfielder redirected a penalty corner opportunity into the cage off an assist from Deborah James, bringing the Bobcats even at 1-1.
Ohio followed with a goal from Ava Florence less than two minutes later to take its first lead of the afternoon. Cisney then played a role in extending that advantage, assisting on another Florence goal at the 49:25 mark.
With a goal and an assist, Cisney finished with three points while directly contributing to two of Ohio’s three scores.
The performance was the latest highlight in a productive sophomore season that included a hat trick against Mercyhurst earlier in October. Her goal against Longwood brought her season total to seven.
Ohio followed the victory with a 4-3 overtime loss to Ball State on October 23, moving to 7-8 overall and 4-4 in MAC competition.
For Cisney, whose high school career included multiple Lancaster-Lebanon League honors and section championships, the continued production represents another important step in her development at the Division I level.

Margut Helps DeSales Secure Postseason Berth
For Sierra Margut, the past several days have brought both individual success and an important team accomplishment at DeSales University.
The Cedar Crest graduate recorded assists in consecutive victories, helping the Bulldogs strengthen their position in the MAC Freedom standings.
Margut first contributed to DeSales’ 2-1 overtime victory against Misericordia on October 17, assisting on the opening goal.
Four days later, the junior helped the Bulldogs deliver one of their strongest offensive performances of the season in a commanding 6-0 victory over King’s College.
With DeSales already holding a 4-0 lead in the third quarter, Margut assisted Mia Carder’s goal at the 39:38 mark, extending the advantage to five.
Margut finished the contest with an assist while also helping generate opportunities through DeSales’ penalty corner attack.
The victory improved the Bulldogs to 8-6 overall and 5-1 in conference competition, securing the program’s fifth consecutive MAC Freedom postseason berth.
Margut has now recorded two assists this season, both coming during the team’s recent winning stretch.
Her accomplishments extend beyond the field as well. A medical studies major, Margut has previously earned National Field Hockey Coaches Association Scholar of Distinction honors in consecutive seasons, along with recognition on the MAC Academic Honor Roll.
With postseason competition approaching, the former Falcon is helping DeSales build momentum at an important point in the season.

Hibshman Adds Another Assist for Nationally Ranked Stevenson
Kailen Hibshman continues to contribute to one of Division III’s strongest field hockey programs during her sophomore season at Stevenson University.
The former ELCO player recorded another assist October 21, helping the nationally ranked Mustangs defeat Neumann University 3-0.
After a scoreless opening quarter, Stevenson broke through at the 22:01 mark when Hibshman set up Shae Bennett for the game’s opening goal.
The Mustangs added two more goals in the third quarter to secure the shutout, dominating possession and finishing with a 23-2 advantage in shots.
Even more impressively, Stevenson’s defense prevented Neumann from recording a single shot on goal.
The victory moved the Mustangs to 13-1 overall and 4-1 in MAC Commonwealth competition.
Hibshman’s sophomore campaign follows an outstanding freshman season in which she recorded 10 goals and six assists while helping Stevenson capture the MAC Commonwealth championship and advance to the NCAA Tournament for the first time in program history.
The former Raider entered college after establishing ELCO career records for goals, assists, and points, and she has continued finding ways to contribute to Stevenson’s offensive attack.
With the conference tournament approaching, Hibshman and the Mustangs remain firmly in the championship conversation.

Lebanon Valley Secures MAC Freedom Tournament Berth
A trio of Lebanon County graduates is part of a Lebanon Valley College program enjoying an impressive stretch as the Dutchmen approach postseason competition.
Annville-Cleona alumni Danika Setlock and Maggie McAteer, along with Cedar Crest graduate Reese Arnold, have helped provide experience across Lebanon Valley’s lineup this fall.
The Dutchmen secured their place in the MAC Freedom Championships on October 21, defeating Misericordia University 1-0 at Arnold Field.
After three scoreless quarters, Alexis Nasuta broke through with the game’s only goal at the 48:59 mark.
Lebanon Valley’s defensive unit preserved the narrow advantage, limiting Misericordia to just two shots on goal.
McAteer helped generate early offensive pressure, taking both of Lebanon Valley’s shots during the opening quarter.
The shutout continued a dominant stretch for the Dutchmen, who entered the contest having won six consecutive games and extended that streak to seven with the victory.
Lebanon Valley improved to 11-3 overall and remained unbeaten in MAC Freedom competition at 5-0.
Setlock has contributed three assists and two defensive saves during the season, while McAteer has added a goal and an assist. Arnold has remained a regular presence in the Dutchmen lineup, contributing to a defense that has produced numerous shutouts.
There was another Lebanon County connection on the opposing sideline, as Palmyra graduate Madison Blauch competed for Misericordia.
The Cougars fell to 6-7 overall and 2-3 in conference play.
For Lebanon Valley’s local contingent, the postseason berth provides another opportunity to build upon an already successful collegiate season.

Hudson Sisters Part of Boston University’s Postseason Push
Boston University also secured an important postseason opportunity this week, with former Palmyra players Maddie Hudson and Mallory Hudson continuing their collegiate careers together.
The Terriers rallied for a 2-1 victory over Colgate on October 23, securing a berth in the Patriot League Tournament.
After falling behind in the third quarter, Boston University tied the contest late in the period before senior Nicole Lauro scored the game-winning goal in the 56th minute.
The victory improved the Terriers to 7-8 overall and 4-1 in Patriot League competition.
Maddie, now a graduate student, has been an important part of the Boston University program following multiple seasons interrupted by injuries. Her return has brought both offensive production and veteran leadership to the Terriers.
Mallory, a sophomore, has also continued gaining experience at the Division I level. She contributed an assist in Boston University’s October 3 victory over Lehigh and was credited with another against Harvard on October 18.
Although neither sister recorded a goal or assist against Colgate, their continued involvement gives Lebanon County another connection to a team preparing for postseason competition.
For the Hudson family, sharing the collegiate field while competing for a conference championship opportunity adds another chapter to an already memorable journey from Palmyra to Boston.

Kirkpatrick and Bucher Competing Among Division II’s Best
Few Division II programs have enjoyed as much success this fall as Kutztown University, where Palmyra graduate Olivia Kirkpatrick and Cedar Crest alum Paige Bucher are continuing their collegiate careers.
The Golden Bears entered Saturday’s matchup against Shippensburg ranked No. 1 nationally with an unbeaten 14-0 record.
Facing the third-ranked Raiders in a closely contested PSAC matchup, Kutztown suffered its first loss of the season, falling 1-0.
Shippensburg scored the game’s only goal with just 10 seconds remaining in the opening quarter and held on through the final three periods.
The result snapped Kutztown’s 35-game regular-season winning streak, which had been the longest active streak in NCAA Division II.
Kirkpatrick, a returning First Team All-American and the 2025 PSAC Defensive Athlete of the Year, started on defense and recorded one shot during the contest. Bucher also appeared for the Golden Bears.
Kutztown moved to 14-1 overall and 5-1 in PSAC competition.
Despite the setback, the Golden Bears remain among the nation’s premier Division II programs. Their upcoming schedule includes another nationally ranked challenge against East Stroudsburg, providing additional opportunities for the local duo to compete at the highest level of Division II field hockey.

Several are already assured of conference tournament appearances, while others are competing for postseason positioning or helping nationally ranked programs prepare for championship competition.
