Falcon Youth Football
Red Rose Midget Football League Age group information
v Elizabethtown Bears
B Team (1-3) Bears 8, Falcons 6
C Team (4-0) Falcons 24, Bears 0
D Team (1-3) Bears 34, Falcons 13
The Falcon “B” Team fell just short in a heartbreaker to the Elizabethtown Bears, losing 8–6 despite playing one of their most complete games of the season. The defense challenged the Bears all afternoon, limiting their ability to move the ball and gain first downs. The effort was led by the defensive line of Kamar Johnson, Gianni Rodriguez, and Nolan Fugate. The only blemish came late in the first quarter when the Bears broke off a 57-yard touchdown run and converted the two-point attempt to take an 8–0 lead.
The Falcon offense moved the ball well and converted first downs but struggled to sustain a full drive. Late in the third quarter, Torrence Hubbard connected with receiver Caden Kane in the back of the end zone for the team’s first score. The two-point conversion failed, a miss that ultimately proved costly.
Cedar Crest’s final drive began on their own 14-yard line with 1:21 left in the fourth quarter and one timeout remaining. Led by Hubbard, the Falcons executed a no-huddle offense, moving to the Bears’ 3-yard line thanks to big plays from Caden Kane and Cooper Stellar. On the final play, Hubbard rolled to his left but was marked inches short as time expired.
The Falcon “C” Team dominated the Elizabethtown Bears 24–0 behind a strong offensive and defensive effort. Chase Reesman led the way with three rushing touchdowns. Alex Harter, Zach Tropp, and Cash Shaffer each added successful two-point conversion receptions, while Mason Edwards contributed with some powerful runs to move the chains.
Defensively, the Falcons held the Bears scoreless once again. Caiden Campos and Derek Pagen-Jaskolka made big plays in the secondary, with Campos intercepting a pass and both knocking down multiple throws.
The Falcon “D” Team traveled to Elizabethtown this past weekend, where the Bears struck first and never looked back on their way to a 34–13 win.
The Falcons found success with two explosive plays, as Nico Aungst broke free for a long touchdown run, and Carson Bugg hauled in a deep pass play for another score—both covering more than 55 yards.
Defensively, the Falcons hung tough in the early going before being outmanned by the Bears’ depth. Standouts included Jay Hoyer, Elias Tvera, Elias Cruz, and Leo Avila, who each made key contributions to the defensive effort.
Up Next: The Falcons will host Lancaster Catholic on Sunday.

@ Fleetwood Tigers
Midgets (1-2-1) Tigers 27, Panthers 13
Mites (3-1) Panthers 53, Tigers 0
Mighty Mites (0-3) Bye Week
The Myerstown Midgets opened strong against the Fleetwood Tigers, but a big second half by the home team proved too much to overcome as Myerstown fell 27–13. After a defensive stand, Tucker Robert recovered a fumble in the end zone to give the Panthers a 6–0 lead in the first half. Both defenses held firm, sending the game into halftime with Myerstown ahead.
Fleetwood took control in the third quarter, striking quickly for back-to-back touchdowns to seize the lead. Two more scores extended the margin to 27–6 before Myerstown mounted a late push. Robert powered in for another touchdown, with Marc Maldonado adding the extra point, but time ran out on the comeback attempt.
The Panther Mites delivered a dominant performance, overwhelming Fleetwood 53–0 on the road. From the opening snap—when Chase Clubb recovered a fumble to set up a Kaiden Vincent touchdown—the Panthers controlled the game. Owen Hall added a pick-six, quarterback Bennett Staudt connected with Hall for a 71-yard score, and Vincentripped off another long touchdown run as the Panthers built a 39–0 halftime lead.
Patrick Lehman added two touchdowns in the second half, Lucas Witmer scored, and Chase Bair closed out the day with an extra point run. The offensive line—Abraham Galindo, Paxton Shepler, Oliver Moore, Logan Weaver, Cole Pond, Leeland Bucher, and Carson Oswald—dominated up front, while Jackson Liskey and Greyson Ream recorded sacks to lead a defense that never let Fleetwood breathe.
The Myerstown Mighty Mites were idle this week.

Early in the second half, linemen Jacob Bomberger, Darren Shifflett, and Blayze Kimm created a lane for Sam Kline, who ran untouched into the end zone for the first touchdown. Kline added a 13-yard scoring run in the fourth quarter to secure the 12–0 victory. Blayze Kimm led the team in tackles, with notable contributions from Sam Kline, Blake Yocum, Jacob Bomberger, and safety Nolan Anspach.
The Viking Ponies outlasted West Perry 31–12. The team executed multiple scoring drives to build a lead, with strong line play and key contributions from the offense and defense.

The Northern Lebanon Smurfs played an exhibition against West Perry, continuing their developmental season.
