Softball

Lancaster Lebanon League Playoffs – 1st Round

Northern Lebanon 4, Lampeter-Strasburg 3 – The Lady Vikings built a 4-1 lead, then held off the Pioneers the rest of the way. Lynsie Mauser went all 7 innings (3 R, 1 ER, 10 K) to earn the victory. Addison Kubica (2-3, RBI, R, SB) & Addison Hollenbach (2-3, R, BB) led the offensive effort. Stephanie Palkovic & Alyssa Shirey added an RBI each. In Monday’s semifinal, Northern Lebanon will face the winner of Friday’s matchup between Annville-Cleona & Warwick.

Baseball

Lancaster Lebanon League Playoffs – 1st Round

Ephrata 2, Northern Lebanon 0 – The Vikings held Ephrata to just two runs behind strong pitching from Brian Bicksler (4.2 IP, 1 R, 0 ER, 4H, 3 K), Blake Burdick (0.1 IP, 1 ER, 1 H), & Vinnie Battistelli (2.0 IP, 0 H, 2 K). However, the Mounts held the Northern Lebanon offense in-check as they scattered 5 hits. Adrian Gonzalez led the Vikings going 2-3 at the plate, while his cousin Andrew Via went 1-2 with 2 stolen bases.

Hempfield 9, Annville-Cleona 1 

 

Regular Season

Palmyra 3, Red Land 0 – The score was tied 0-0 until the 7th when the Cougars finally broke through against relief pitching in an otherwise solid pitching duel. In the Top 7th, Nate Osteen hit an RBI single before Aiden Willard hit a 2 RBI double. Ty Peck earned an intentional walk in the 7th after hitting a triple in the 5th. Braydon Bown pitched 6 scoreless innings for Palmyra, striking out 9 batters & only allowing 2 hits. Clint Bricker finished the shutout, pitching the final inning. Palmyra completes their regular season with a perfect 20-0 record.

Conestoga Valley 12, Lebanon 2 [F/6]

 

Boys Volleyball

Cedar Crest 3, Elizabethtown 0 [25-15, 25-21, 25-19] – The Section 1 co-leading Falcons were led by Aidan Vukovich (3 aces, 10 aces), Tate Tadajweski  (9 digs, 2 blocks), & Ryder Rohrer (29 assists).

Manheim Central 3, Lebanon 0 [25-12, 25-14, 25-10] – In the loss, Lebanon was led by Vasquez (8 kills, 2 aces, 2 blocks) & Perez-Crespo (6 assists).

 

Boys Lacrosse

Palmyra 17, Red Land 1

Lancaster Country Day 6, Cedar Crest 5 [2 OT] – In the double overtime loss, the Falcons had goals scored by  Connor Rowe, Grant Reesor, Nolan Brubaker, Nick Seiber, & Connor McCracken. Grant Reesor had 2 assists, while Rowe &  Brubaker each added. an assist. Goalie Paxton Thomas made 9 saves.

 

 

 

Wednesday, May 7

Softball

Northern Lebanon 10, ELCO 2 – The Vikings were led by Lynsie Mauser (2-3, 2B, 3B, 3 RBI, 3 R) in the win over their LebCo rival. Addie Hollenbach (2-4, 2 R) pitched all 7 innings, giving up one earned run while striking out 14. For the Raiders, Abby Hassler & Abby Ruth each had an RBI.

Lebanon 16, Hanover 1 [F/3] – The Cedars showed up in force as Sereniti Zidik held the Nighthawks to just one hit over 3 innings. Zidik, who had 5 Ks, also went 4-4, 2B, 3 RBI, & 2 runs scored. Kambria Harbaugh (2-3, RBI, 2 R) & Athena Griffiths (2-2, 2 RBI, 3 R) also played major roles in Lebanon’s 3rd win of the season.

Annville-Cleona 4, Octorara 2 – Temperence Brubaker earned the win on the mound, while Zoe Miller doubled in the 5th to give the Dutchmen the lead they would need to defeat the Braves. Faith Wagner added an RBI.

 

Baseball

Palmyra 4, Gettysburg 2 – Jonathan Strohecker pitched a complete game striking out ten batters, as the Cougars moved to 19-0 on the season. Alex Dorta went 3-4 with a triple. Aiden Willard also had a triple & accounted for 2 RBI. Ty Peck, who is now batting .480, had an RBI.

Northern Lebanon 5, Annville-Cleona 2 – Adrian Gonzalez pitch 4.2 innings, giving up a run on 2 hits, while recording 8 Ks. At the plate, he went. 2-2 with 2 walks & an RBI. Brian Bicksler, Owen Fahringer, & Andrew Via also had an RBI each. 

ELCO 4, Octorara 2 – The Raiders were down 2-0, but scored 3 runs in the 4th inning to take the lead. In a rare occurrence, the Raiders totaled 9 hits, with each member of the line-up accounting for one hit. Austin Smith had 2 RBI, while Tyce Boyer also had an RBI.

 

Boys Lacrosse

Penn Manor 19, Cedar Crest 5 – For the Falcons, Connor Rowe recorded his 300th career faceoff win, going 14-16 in the 1st half. He also scored 3 goals & added an assist. Goalie Paxton Thomas had 8 saves.

 

 

 

 

Tuesday, May 6

Boys Volleyball

Cedar Crest 3, Ephrata 0 [25-13, 25-19, 25-15] – The Falcons are currently tied for the top spot in LL Section 1.

Monday, May 5

Softball

Cedar Crest 5, Manheim Township 2 – Addison Nolan shutdown the Streaks, going up just 5 hits & 2 runs over 7 innings as the Falcon defense played a clean game behind her. Julia Cole, who had 9 putouts in CF, was 3-4 with an RBI. Ava Rosario, Kate Poorman, Peyton Burkey, & Lydia McClintic also each drove in a run. The Falcons showed resilience, down 2-1 going into the 6th before scoring 3 in the inning to take the lead. With Township threatening in the Bottom 7th, Angie Orosco pulled off an unassisted double play to preserve the upset.

Cedar Crest 3, Lower Dauphin 0 [25-9, 25-12, 25-19] – The Falcons were led by Tyler Hackleman (2 aces), Aidan Vukovich (12 kills), Jack Wolgemuth (12 digs), Jacob Alnoor (4 blocks), & Ryder Rohrer (26 assists)
