Help us decide which male and female athlete should be honored for their outstanding efforts during last week’s local high school sports action. While you may have a favorite school or athlete already, we still encourage you to read through the lists below and then click on the link to vote.
The winners will be announced at the end of the week. Linked below are the articles about our most recent winners of the award.
Voting will remain open until Wednesday at 10 pm.
One vote per email address, per day will be allowed.
While athletes can be nominated multiple weeks, the winners will be removed and updates will be provided as the season progresses.
While this may be a vote and emotions can run high, this is intended to bring attention to some of the best performances from our local student-athletes.
Nominations, which are made working with the schools, are listed below in alphabetical order.
Please read about each nominee, celebrate their accomplishment, and then go vote who you feel is most deserving of this week’s honor.

Female Nominees
Olive Brandt (Lebanon / Jr.) – Basketball: The junior guard was key in three Cedar victories last week, including Saturday’s LL Tournament win over Columbia, when she hit four three-pointers on her way to finishing with 16 points. On Friday, Brandt scored 13 to help defeat Milton Hershey. Earlier in the week, she scored 12 in a win over Manheim Township.
Miracle Hershey (New Covenant / Sr.) – Basketball: Saturday was Senior Day, and the lone senior for the Flames had herself a day in the win over Harrisburg Academy. Hershey scored 15 points while adding 8 rebounds & 8 steals. New Covenant finished the regular season with a record of 16-2, making them one of the top seeds in the District 3 Playoffs.
Elli Malinoski (Cedar Crest / Fr.) – Basketball: The freshman led the Lady Falcons with 21 points in an exciting overtime win over Governor Mifflin on Wednesday night, the regular season finale. The previous night, Malinoski scored 11 points as Crest defeated Penn Manor. Finishing the season 13-9, Cedar Crest has guaranteed their spot in the District 3 Playoffs.
Sadie Ostermayer (Northern Lebanon / Sr.) – Wrestling: At Sunday’s highly competitive Lebanon Girls Wrestling Tournament, Ostermayer earned a 4th place finish, competing at 136 pounds. She went 4-2 in the tournament, winning each of her matches with pins. Two of those victories came in less than a minute.
Elaina Potter (Palmyra / Sr.) – Diving: At the Mid Penn Diving Championships, Potter finished 4th. Her score of 348.20 was an improvement over last year’s 328.15. She missed States by one place last season but, with her improvement, is poised to make it back to Bucknell this year.
Kylee Trostle (ELCO / So.) – Wrestling: At the 1st annual Raider Girls Wrestling Duals, the reigning PIAA medalist went 6-0. Her effort helped lead the team to a perfect 6-0 day with wins over Lampeter-Strasburg, Chambersburg, Susquehanna Township, Kennard-Dale, Phillipsburg, and Kutztown. Trostle’s victories included three pins. She is now 24-2 this season ahead of this weekend’s Sectionals, the first step in making a return to Hershey.
Past Winner Update: Kailah Correa (Lebanon /Sr.) – Basketball: In Tuesday’s win over Manheim Township, Correa scored her 2,000th career point. She became just the 10th female player in Lancaster Lebanon League history to reach the mark.
Past Winner Update: Liliana Harrison (Lebanon /Sr.) – Basketball: In Saturday’s win over Columbia, Harrison grabbed her the 1,000th rebound of her career. This milestone came just one week after she reached the 1,000 point mark for her career.
Male Nominees
Collin Cheslock (Northern Lebanon / Jr.) – Swimming: The junior was the lone Viking to compete at the Lancaster Lebanon League Swimming Championships this past weekend. By competing, he made his presence known, taking a 6th place medal in the 100 yard Breaststroke, finishing in a time of 1:02.58.
Alex Dorta (Palmyra / Sr.) – Basketball: The senior was key in huge victories over Hershey & ELCO last week. In the unexpected upset of Hershey, Dorta put together a line of 23 points, 7 rebounds, 5 assists, & 2 steals. Going 13-17 from the foul line, Dorta also hit the winning free throws with just three seconds remaining. He ended the week with 9 points, 8 rebounds, 6 assists, & 2 steals in the win over ELCO. In the two games, he was on the floor for all but one minute of action.
Micah Gray (ELCO / Sr.) – Basketball: The senior has been a consistent leader and force on the basketball team as a shooter and ball handler. In Wednesday’s win over Blue Mountain, Gray scored a game-high 21 points, including connecting on three three-pointers. In Friday’s close loss to Palmyra, Gray scored a team-high 14 points, again hitting a trio of threes. Prior to the Blue Mountain game, Gray announced his commitment to Lancaster Bible College.
Alex Hart (New Covenant / Fr.) – Basketball: In New Covenant’s win on Saturday over Harrisburg Academy, the freshman was outstanding putting forth a 27 point, 16 rebound, 6 assist, 5 steal performance. Earlier in the week, Hart scored 10 points and grabbed 7 rebounds in the team’s win over Fairfield. With the pair of victories, the Flames have likely sealed their spot in the District 3 Playoffs.
Jomar Hidalgo (Lebanon / So.) – Swimming: At the Lancaster Lebanon League Swimming Championships, Hildalgo earned a pair of medals. In the 100 yard Backstroke, Hildalgo finished 2nd with a time of 51.37. He also brought home a bronze in the 200 yard Individual Medley after finishing in a time of 1:57.7.
