Falcons Close Historic Season With Record-Setting Win at CD East

The Cedar Crest boys lacrosse team had one final game left in its 2026 season, but Wednesday night’s road trip to Central Dauphin East was about more than simply closing out the schedule.

It became one more chance for the Falcons to put the finishing touch on the best season in program history.

Cedar Crest made the most of that opportunity, rolling to a 15-1 victory over CD East behind another big offensive performance and one more milestone-filled night from a team that continued to raise the standard for the program.

Grant Reesor and Nolan Brubaker led the way offensively, each scoring 4 goals. Reesor also added 4 assists, finishing the night with 8 points, while Brubaker added 1 assist as the Falcons controlled the game from start to finish.

Jaxon Bechtold added 3 goals, while Connor McCracken and Ben Rohland each scored twice. Cedar Crest also received playmaking contributions from Joe Menicheschi, who finished with 2 assists, along with Cam Hansell and Dakota Biever, who each added 1 assist.

As strong as Wednesday’s performance was, the bigger story was what it represented in the larger picture of Cedar Crest lacrosse.

Reesor finished the season with the most points, goals, and assists in a single season in school history. His final totals — 111 points, 68 goals, and 43 assists — set a new standard for offensive production in the Falcon program.

In goal, Paxton Thomas closed his Cedar Crest career as the program’s all-time saves leader with 591 career saves. Thomas also posted a 58% save percentage this season, setting another program record while helping anchor the Falcons throughout the year.

The historic season was not limited to the offensive end or the goalie cage. Dexter Hardy’s final defensive stats are still being finalized, but his 2026 season stands as the best single season by a defensive player in Cedar Crest program history.

Those individual milestones all helped build toward a larger team achievement.

With Wednesday’s win, Cedar Crest finished the season with an 8-10 record. For a program that has continued to grow, that mark carries major meaning: the 8 wins are the most in a single season in Cedar Crest boys lacrosse history.

The Falcons may have finished just below .500, but the bigger story is that the 2026 team left the program in a new place. Behind record-setting individual seasons, steady improvement, and a historic win total, Cedar Crest closed the year by taking another major step forward.
