On Saturday, ELCO hosted ten girls wrestling teams for the Raider Duals, welcoming a strong field that included three Lebanon County squads: the host Raiders, Cedar Crest, and Lebanon. Chambersburg emerged as the only undefeated team on the day, but both ELCO and Cedar Crest turned in outstanding performances with 5-1 records, while Lebanon showcased its depth by picking up two team wins. In total, six Lebanon County wrestlers went a perfect 6-0 on the day, highlighting a big afternoon of momentum as the postseason draws near.
As the hosts, ELCO delivered an impressive team response after opening with a 42–33 loss to Chambersburg, then reeling off five straight victories — 47–27 over York Tech, 59–15 over Lampeter-Strasburg, 66–9 over Kutztown, 66–12 over Susquehanna Township, and a dominant 71–5 win over Lebanon to close out the day. Fresh off winning the Lancaster-Lebanon League Championship last weekend, junior Kylee Trostle stayed red-hot with six more wins to move to 29–2 on the season, including three pins and a lightning-fast tech fall where she piled up 15 points in just 42 seconds. Sophomore Maracelys Morales Sanchez was dominant at 235, going 6-0 with three pins. Junior Nevaeh Fischer also delivered a perfect 6-0 day at 155, highlighted by three pins and a 3–1 decision in her opening bout against Chambersburg.
Cedar Crest matched that 5-1 team mark, with its only blemish also coming against Chambersburg. The Falcons opened with a 48–21 win over Kennard-Dale, then followed with back-to-back 42–30 victories over Lampeter-Strasburg and York Tech, a 48–12 win against Wyomissing, and a 66–12 result over Susquehanna Township. Individually, Lily Harchuska — also fresh off a Lancaster-Lebanon League title — went 6-0 while bouncing between 124 and 130, adding four pins to push her season record to 27–3, with her last loss coming on January 3. Sophomore Lili Bohn was perfect at 170 with a tech fall and two pins among her six victories. Freshman Sophia Ventura joined the unbeaten group as well, going 6-0 at 235 with a pin along the way, while fellow league champ Madelyn Shanfelder finished 5-1, with her only loss of the day coming to a Chambersburg wrestler.
Lebanon’s results reflected a team that’s building depth at the right time, as the Cedars leaned on several key forfeits to swing matchups and earn two late wins — defeating Kutztown and Wyomissing to close the day on a high note. Earlier in the event, Lebanon fell to York Tech, Kennard-Dale, ELCO, and Chambersburg, but the individual effort was led by Lancaster-Lebanon League silver medalist Isabella Poole Martinez, who went 5-1 at 100 pounds with three pins and a 19–3 tech fall, improving to 21–4 on the season. Sophomore Mya Silva posted a 4-2 day with two pins, while Nataliah Rodriguez also picked up four wins while competing at 235.
With the regular season winding down, the Raider Duals served as a final tune-up before the postseason begins in earnest. ELCO and Cedar Crest are both set to take part in the District 3 Team Duals beginning this Wednesday, before the “Road to Hershey” on the individual side gets underway with Sectionals on February 13.
