Saturday, March 22
Northern Lebanon 4, Middletown 3
On Saturday, the Vikings hosted the Middletown Blue Raiders. Adrian Gonzalez, the two-time reigning LebCo Pitcher of the Year, got the start for the Vikings. The junior threw another gem, as the Northern Lebanon offense came through in clutch situations to give Northern Lebanon their third victory in four contests to start the season.
After a quiet 1st inning, the Vikings got took the lead in the Bottom 2nd when Connor Stoltz led off with a triple and as subsequently driven home two batters later when Christian Anspach hit a single with two runners on-base. A walk to Vincent Battistelli loaded the bases before Owen Fahringer hit a sacrifice fly which allowed Brian Bicksler to cross home, making the score 2-0.
After Gonzalez punched out three batters in the Top 3rd, the Vikings again put up two runs in their next turn at the plate. This time, Bicksler hit a grounder that was mishandled, allowing Brady Ryan to score (Ryan was pinch-running for Stoltz, who had doubled). In the next at-bat, Anspach singled to drive home Kaden Beamesderfer, who had reached on a walk. The inning ended with Northern Lebanon leading 4-0.
Gonzalez shut down the Blue Raiders until the 6th inning when Middletown mounted a two-out rally with a walk followed by two doubles to make the score 4-2. Ryan came in for the save in the 7th, allowing one run before the final out was recorded.
Gonzalez’s performance was again dominant as he had 11 Ks over 6 innings (2 ER, 6 H, 2 BB). Ryan got the save with his 1 IP (1 ER, K, 2 BB).
Northern Lebanon (3-1) will travel to Cocalico on Monday.

Northern Lebanon 6, Hamburg 2
Northern Lebanon got the scoring started in the Top 1st after a Connor Stoltz single scored Riley Messinger, who had reached with a double in the previous at-bat. After a hit by Owen Fahringer, Brian Bicksler hit into a fielder’s choice to scored Stoltz, making the score 2-0.
After Hamburg got a run back in their half of the 1st inning, Northern Lebanon again struck for two runs. First, Adrian Gonzalez singled home Luke Kleisath on a line drive to center. On the next play, Messinger doubled home Gonzalez to make the score 4-1.
Again Hamburg would score a run in their next at-bat. However, the score remained 4-2 until the Vikings added two insurance runs in the Top 7th. First, Brady Ryan drove home Bicksler with an RBI single. The next play saw Kleisath hit a sacrifice fly to center allowing Ryan to score.
Messinger was 2-3, 2B, BB, RBI, R. Stoltz also had two hits, going 2-3, RBI, R. Bicksler drew 2 walks with an RBI, R, & SB.
Gonzalez, now a junior, pitched another great game for Northern Lebanon to earn the victory (6 IP, 2 R, 1 ER, 8 H, 7K, BB). Kleisath recorded the final three outs to finish the game (1 IP, 2 H).
Northern Lebanon (2-0) will travel to Conestoga Valley on Wednesday.

Monday, March 17
Cedar Crest 3, Dallastown 2
On Monday, Cedar Crest opened their 2025 season on the road at Dallastown.
The Falcons started the scoring in the Top 2nd when Mason Berresford grounded out, allowing Jayden Marley to score. In the 4th, Berresford notched another RBI when he singled to score Marley again.
In the Bottom 4th, Dallastown got a run back with an RBI single of their own to make the score 2-1. In their next at-bat, Crest put some distance between them and their host when Lucas Schreier doubled on a line drive to center, which allowed Landon Kreider to score.
After Dallastown scored in the 6th to make it 3-2, they again threatened in the 7th before Aaron Krumbine got the final out.
Davin Kolter started the game on the mound for the Falcons (2.2 IP, 0 H, 5K, 4 BB). Krumbine pitched the rest of the way, earning the victory (4.1 IP, 3 H, 2 R, 3 K, 2 BB).
Cedar Crest outhit Dallastown 7-2. Berresford finished the game going 1-2, 2 RBI. Schierer was 1-4, 2B, 1 RBI. Kreider went 2-4 with a stolen base.
Cedar Crest (1-0) will host Exeter on Friday.
