Patrick Fields had a standout game, throwing three touchdown passes, while Jullian Rodriguez Rivera added two rushing touchdowns. Damani was a key player in the receiving game, catching two touchdown passes. The defense played a crucial role, with Gabby and Yohan each making key interceptions to help secure the win.

The Cedar “C” Team faced a tough challenge against Manheim Township and scored only once, with Grayson Painter running in a 5-yard touchdown. This drive was highlighted by Quinton Sisco’s impressive runs of 25 to 30 yards, setting up the score. On defense, Yan, Ayden, and Ethan put forth strong efforts to prevent a blowout, keeping the game competitive.

The Cedar “D” Team dominated their game, winning with a score of 25-0. Caitlyn Fields, Alexciel Pagan, Izaiah Cosme, and Christian Boyers all contributed touchdowns, with Fields also kicking the extra point. The defense was impenetrable, allowing only one first down late in the fourth quarter. Midget Division

In a Midget semi-final matchup, the Myerstown Panthers came up short against a tough Oley Lynx team. Oley ran the opening kick back for a touchdown and had a long TD run for a 12-0 lead at halftime. The Panthers moved the ball in the first half, driving inside the five-yard line, but did not score. A second half Myerstown TD by Braiden Harris and an extra point by Bentley Landis cut the Oley lead to 12-7 after 3 quarters. A fourth quarter Oley touchdown drive and a separate pick-six finished the scoring at 25-7, ending the Panther’s championship aspirations.

Myerstown will now face Schuylkill Valley in a 3rd place matchup on Sunday, November 3, at Kutztown University.

Mite Division

In a highly competitive semi-final matchup, the Myerstown Panthers edged out the Hamburg Hawks with a 21-12 victory, preserving their undefeated season. The first quarter was a defensive battle, with both teams struggling to gain offensive ground. In the second quarter, the Panthers’ ground game gained momentum with hard runs from Tucker Robert, Owen Hall, and Corbin Showalter, leading to a Robert touchdown and a successful Hall extra point, putting Myerstown up 7-0. The defense, led by middle linebacker Luca Kirelawich, forced a turnover on downs, giving the offense another opportunity.

On the next play, the Panthers lined up in wildcat formation with Showalter at quarterback. Showalter faked a sweep to Robert and kept the ball, breaking loose for a 30-yard touchdown, followed by Hall’s extra point to extend the lead to 14-0. As the half wound down, Schuylkill Valley capitalized on a late play, sealing the edge for a 40-yard touchdown run, but Myerstown stopped the extra point attempt, maintaining a 14-6 lead at halftime.

The Hawks opened the second half with another deep play, bringing them to the 1-yard line, where they scored on a quarterback sneak, though the Panthers stopped the extra point again, keeping the lead at 14-12. The Panthers offense then drove into Hawks territory, but penalties led to a turnover on downs. With five minutes remaining, Myerstown’s defense stepped up, creating tackles for loss and forcing another turnover on downs. The offense then controlled the clock with a ground attack led by Hall, Showalter, Robert, and Vincent, culminating in another Robert touchdown, with Hall’s extra point sealing the 21-12 victory.

With this win, the Panthers advance to the BAYFL Championship next weekend, where they will face the Oley Lynx.

Mighty Mite Division

In their final game of the season, the Panthers faced the Conrad Weiser Scouts in a BAYFL Consolation rematch, hoping to avenge last week’s loss. The Panthers’ offense controlled the ball for the entire first quarter, with steady runs from Patrick Lehman, Joseph Noll, and Brody Newswanger. Despite dominating the clock, the Panthers couldn’t capitalize and had to punt to the Scouts. Conrad Weiser then put together an eight-play drive, ending with a 30-yard touchdown run, though Leeland Butcher and Lehman stopped their extra point attempt, keeping it 6-0 at halftime.

The Panthers’ defense came out strong in the second half, with critical stops by Logan Witmer, Waylon Phelps, and Leland Zellers. However, the Scouts managed another 30-yard run on fourth down, extending their lead to 13-0 after a successful extra point. In response, Myerstown mounted a seven-play drive led by runs from Chase Noecker, Lee Keppley, and Beau Newswanger but couldn’t find the end zone. The game ended 13-0, bringing the Mighty Mites’ season to a close. They fought hard all season, and with seven key players returning next year, the Panthers’ future looks promising.

Up Next: The Mites will face off against Oley in the BAYFL Championship game. The Midgets will take on Schuylkill Valley in a 3rd Place Consolation Game.

Myerstown extends heartfelt appreciation to the players and families marking their final season with the Panthers. Thank you for being a part of our community.
