Kyle Miller

Kyle Miller was nominated for Athlete of the Week for his efforts during the Week of January 2nd. Miller was then nominated again following the Week of January 22nd as his excellent junior season continued. His constant success throughout the season resulted in the LebCoSports.com voters learning about his talents as a wrestler, something they rewarded him with by selecting him as a Winter Wildcard.

Miller finished his season with a 33-10 record that including 14 pins. His season came to a conclusion when he finished 5th at the PIAA South Central Regional Championships, missing States by just one place.  This setback, shared with his younger brother, Klint, will serve as a powerful motivation for both of them to improve ahead of next year.

Miller was consistently good over the course of the season, finishing 2nd at the Lancaster Lebanon League Championship and then earning silver at Sectionals before medaling at Regionals. Along the way, he ran his record to 95-37 overall and was named a Lancaster Lebanon League Section 3 First Team All-Star.

Miller is not just a student of the sport of wrestling, but he also takes his academics seriously. He is a member of the National Honor Society and consistently earns grades worthy of the distinguished honor roll.

With one season remaining in his high school career, Miller is not resting on his laurels. He is gearing up to reach new heights on and off the mat. His commitment to hard work in the classroom will allow him to continue competing at the collegiate level.

As Miller enters off-season tournaments, we will be paying attention to his development, which may very well get him onto the podium at the Giant Center next March. We wish Kyle all the best!
