On Friday, bowlers from across Eastern Pennsylvania took part in the Eastern Pennsylvania Regional Bowling Championships. This event included bowlers from Districts 1,2, 3, 4, and 12, as they battled it out for a chance to qualify for the PIAA State Bowling Championships. Both the girls are boys events took place in Lancaster County. The girls competed mainly at Dutch Lanes in Ephrata and the boys were at Leisure Lanes in Lancaster. All of the finals took place at Dutch Lanes.
In total, there were 144 boys who qualified. Three of them were from Lebanon County Schools: Hunter Heinsey (ELCO), Toby Zombro (Cedar Crest), and Charlie Albright (Northern Lebanon). There were also 112 girls competing, with the lone Lebanon County representative being Lancaster Lebanon League Champion, ELCO’s Morgan Kline.
Below are the results for our hometown athletes in their five qualifying games. Keep in mind that competition level bowling implements oil patterns that make for an additional challenge for those competing.
