PIAA State Tournament
Prelim Round: Palmyra 59, Obama Academy 16 – Palmyra Wrestling made history with the first PIAA State Team Tournament win in program history, cruising to a 59–16 victory. The Cougars exploded out of the gate with bonus points from Owen Clark (tech fall) and quick pins by Tyler Detwiler and Nicholas Weidman to build a 17–0 lead. Palmyra kept the momentum rolling with falls from Aaron Andrew, Alex Csongradi, and Kyler Sparks, then closed it out with a pin by Russell Cisney and a late fall from Nicolas Gordon.
Round of 16: Franklin Regional 45, Palmyra 22 – Palmyra’s historic PIAA Team Tournament run came to an end against host Franklin Regional, but the Cougars still closed the dual with some big moments — wins from Tyler Detwiler, Elijah Foltz, and Nicolas Gordon, plus a forfeit at 133 for Owen Clark. Even in the loss, the experience and flashes of bonus-point potential helped set the stage for a strong push in the individual postseason.
