Tuesday, December 9

Annville-Cleona 64, Northern Lebanon 63

On Tuesday, Annville-Cleona welcomed Northern Lebanon to “The Barn.” Early on, it was clear the matchup would be tightly contested. The 1st quarter went to the Vikings, who took a 17–14 lead behind 7 points from Andrew Via.

In the 2nd quarter, the Dutchmen responded as Lane Peters hit two three-pointers and John Ditzler added another. Their defensive effort also tightened, allowing Annville to take a 31–26 lead into halftime.

Northern Lebanon used the 3rd quarter to erase the deficit, with Carter Moyer erupting for 13 points. With the game tied entering the 4th, both teams battled to the final buzzer. In the end, Annville-Cleona escaped with the win by the narrowest of margins.

James Garney led Annville with 20 points, and Hudson Sellers joined him in double figures with 10.
For Northern Lebanon, Moyer delivered a standout performance with 29 points, including four three-pointers and a 7-for-8 mark at the foul line. Via added 15 points, while Nolan Lesher contributed 13.

Both squads return to action on Friday. Annville-Cleona (2–1) will travel to Lancaster Country Day, while Northern Lebanon (1–3) will host Pequea Valley.

ELCO 71, Hamburg 42

ELCO came out firing on all cylinders and put together four consistent quarters of basketball in a home victory over Hamburg on Tuesday evening. In the 1st quarter, the Raiders posted 17 points, fueled by Josiah Hayes, who scored 13 of them. That would end up being their lowest scoring period, as they went on to tally 18 points in each of the next three quarters.

In the 2nd quarter, Kaden Tillison caught fire from long range, knocking down two three-pointers on his way to 14 first-half points.

Both seniors continued to dominate throughout the second half, with Tillison and Hayes each finishing with 25 points to lead ELCO’s offensive surge.

ELCO (3-1) will travel to Donegal on Thursday night.
