Tuesday, December 9

Annville-Cleona 41, Octorara 17

After dropping their first two games of the season, the Dutchmen hit the road on Tuesday night to face Octorara. Early in the game, it was clear they were determined to avoid an 0-3 start.

Balanced scoring in the opening frame allowed Annville-Cleona to build a 12-5 lead by the end of the 1st quarter. In the 2nd quarter, the Braves cut into the margin slightly, but the Dutchmen still held a 5-point edge at halftime, led by 6 points from Valeria Russo.

The 3rd quarter proved decisive, as Annville broke away for good by outscoring Octorara 18-2. In that stretch, Cait Shayscored 8 points to fuel the surge. The strong defensive effort continued the rest of the way, helping the Dutchmen secure their first victory of the season.

In the game, Dana Hoover led the scoring with 9 points, while Shay and Georgia Sellers each contributed 8.

Annville-Cleona (1-2) will host Linden Hall on Friday.

Monday, December 8

ELCO 57, Warwick 53

The Lady Raiders put their 3–0 record on the line with a visit to Warwick on Monday night. They came out firing in the 1st quarter, with Maddie Stout, Ava Seifert, and Ava Beck each hitting three-pointers as they built a 13–9 lead. In the 2nd quarter, Riley Bennethum joined the splashfest, while Beck and Seifert again connected from long range to help ELCO take a 24–21 advantage into halftime.

In the 3rd quarter, Warwick continued to close the gap, but Beck’s third three of the night and steady scoring from across the lineup allowed ELCO to maintain a narrow one-point lead.

Entering the 4th quarter up 51–50 in a game that could have slipped away, Kenzie Eckhart took control. After scoring 7 points through the first three quarters, the senior erupted for 10 in the final frame. Stout added 6 more as the Raiders held on for the hard-fought victory.

ELCO (4–0) will host Donegal on Thursday.
