Our Lady of the Cross Girls Basketball Season Outlook

The Our Lady of the Cross Lions enter the 2025–26 season looking to build on a strong foundation from last year, when the team went 14–9 and advanced to the second round of the Class A District Tournament for the second consecutive year. Despite losing Riley Hatzfeld, a 2nd Team All-State selection who averaged 28.9 mpg and is already contributing as a freshman at Lebanon Valley, the Lions return a solid core of seniors Maggie Harrison, Carolyn Frey, Charlotte Wuenche and sophomores Anna Harrison, MacKenzie Waters, Maria Garchinsky, Savannah Hofnagle.

Adding depth and potential the potential to have an impact are juniors Jasmine Ambriz, Caroline Garchinsky, along with freshmen Maggie Delagrange, Maria Omstead, all expected to contribute immediately and help the team remain competitive on both ends of the floor.

With a focus on development and improvement, this season is largely a rebuilding year. Players are working hard every day to sharpen skills, grow as a team, and lay the groundwork for sustained success. Under Coach Patti Hower, the Lions aim to continue qualifying for Districts while cultivating leadership, resilience, and a strong team culture.
