On Tuesday at Fairview Golf Course, the Lebanon County Golf Championships were held. The event had been delayed due to the inclement weather that gripped the region over the past couple of weeks. The calendar change served the golfers well, as the weather presented itself a seasonable Autumn day that made for some great competition on the par 71 course.
In the County Championship format, each of the six LebCo schools were able to enter up to five golfers. The combined score from each team’s top golfers were then tallied to determine the order of finish.
This year, the Cedar Crest Falcons once again reigned supreme. They were led by junior Dylan Ramsey who carded a 64 to win his third County Championship in three years. His score was an impressive seven strokes under par. Carson DiBiaso also had a great day as he fired a 68. Scoring for the Falcons was closed out with a 74 from senior Ethan Rader. The trio’s score totaled 206 (-7).
In second place in the team standings was Northern Lebanon, whose top three golfers Levi Shoemaker (77), Collin Padovani (79), and Vinnie Battistelli (81) combined for a 237. Annville-Cleona finished 3rd with a team score of 242.
Lebanon’s Trinity Leeper was crowned as the Girls’ Champion.
Next up for several area golfers will be the District 3 Championships, which will begin on Thursday, October 10th.
Below are the full results broken down by order of finish, then by team.
