Wednesday, September 18

FIELD HOCKEY

Palmyra 3, Northern York 1 – Trailing 1-0 early, the Lady Cougars responded with three unanswered goals from Leigha Kane, Mallory Hudson, & Jovie Weaver. Assists were provided by Maddie Stahl, Bri Eckenroth, & Maddy Waldron. Abby Bennett made 2 saves.

GOLF 

LL Section 3 @ Mocassion Run

Northern Lebanon went 3-1 on the day to finish 15-5 in their league schedule, 2nd behind only Lampeter-Strasburg. Brian Bicksler (78) led the Vikings, with Vinnie Battistelli (83), Collin Padovani (85), & Leland Kohr (86) also counting towards the varsity score. Levi Shoemaker (88) & Mason Adams (93) also competed in the 18-hole match.

ELCO finished their season with a 4-16 record in their league schedule. On Wednesday, Brady Keath (87) led the Raiders. Brett Wenger (90), Grant Wenger (93), Liam Savitsky (97), James Dolan (97), & Brady Habecker (110) also competed. Grant Wenger’s 93 was a career best & he was named ELCO’s MVP for the match.

 

LL Section 4 @ Honeybrook

Annville-Cleona finished 2nd on the day & overall in league play with a 24-6 record. Pequea Valley won Section 4. Leading the way was Logan Francis (73). Right behind Francis was Aidan Lezon (74), who shot a career-best. Owen Wright (87) & Noah Morcom (98) rounded out the varsity score.

Lebanon was led by Ben DiScuillo (87). Rolen Firestone (102), Zach Leffler (108), & Trinity Leeper (111) all showed improvement as the Cedars finished the regular season with a 1-26 record.

 

 

 

Tuesday, September 17

GOLF

LL Section 1 @ Conestoga

The top golfer on the day was Cedar Crest’s Dylan Ramsey (71, +1) as the Falcons finished 2nd overall, just one stroke behind Manheim Township. Also scoring for the Falcons were Isaac Wolfe (78, +8), Carson DiBiaso (82, +12), & Ethan Rader (85, +15). With the result, Cedar Crest has secured the Section 1 Championship.

FIELD HOCKEY

ELCO 2, Annville-Cleona 0 – In the 2nd half, ELCO’s Addie Weiler was assisted twice by Kailen Hibshman as the Raiders pulled away for the victory. Annville goalie Savannah Kleinfelter made 17 saves, while Aeryn Marks stopped 4 shots in the shutout. Both the Raiders & the Dutchmen are now 9-1.

Warwick 6, Cedar Crest 0

 

GIRLS SOCCER

Palmyra 4, Hershey 0 – Delaney Miller & Kenzie Long both scored twice as Palmyra defeated rival Hershey. Ava Lindenmuth had 2 assists, while Long assisted on one of Miller’s goals. Alyssa Stroik earned the shutout in net for the Lady Cougars.

New Covenant 3, West Shore Christian 0 – Miracle Hershey, Riley Frisinger & Lily Rohrer each tallied a goal, while Emma Stevenson earned the shutout with 11 saves.

BOYS SOCCER

Annville-Cleona 3, Lebanon 1 – The Dutchmen benefitted from goals by Matthew Clemson, Landon Hostetter, & Sajan Tamang, Clemson also had two assists with Andrew Meyer assisting on Clemson’s score. George Maag made 9 saves for AC. Scoring for Lebanon was Chris Osoria on an assist from Bryan Uriel.

GIRLS VOLLEYBALL

Lampeter-Strasburg 3, ELCO 1 [25-20, 24-26, 25-13, 25-11]

Harrisburg Christian 3, New Covenant 0

Elizabethtown 3, Cedar Crest 0 [25-13, 25-19, 25-16] The Falcons put up a tough fight, led by Bralynn Weise (2 aces, 9 assists), Caroline Heller (2 aces, 5 kills), & Kenadie Dunsworth (17 digs, 1 block).

Northern Lebanon 3, McCaskey 0 [25-11,25-16, 25-11]

Lancaster Catholic 3, Lebanon 0 [25-13, 25-23, 25-8]

 

 

 

Monday, September 16

GIRLS TENNIS

Lebanon 5, McCaskey 2 – Neveah Colon, Scarlett Meyer, & Sally Zheng were all winners in Singles. Meyer paired with Whitney Bartal while Zheng joined AmyMarie Castro Taylor for wins in Doubles.

Northern Lebanon 7, Columbia 0 – Shuey, Thompson, Hollinger, and Wang all registered Singles wins. They also picked up wins in Doubles. The pairing of Lopez/Troup won via forfeit.

Penn Manor 7, Cedar Crest 0

Palmyra 5, Red Land 0

Lancaster Catholic 7, ELCO 0

Annville-Cleona 6, Pequea Valley 1 – Under the lights at LVC, Nia Hafey, Olivia Morrissey & Gabriella Tetzlaff were all winners in Singles. Tetzlaff won a three-set tiebreaker 10-8. The Doubles teams of Amelia Summers/Hafey, Morrissey/Tetzlaff, & Kaleena Espada/Hannah White were all winners.

 

GIRLS SOCCER

Annville-Cleona 3, Biglerville 1 – Rowan Ulrich scored the hat trick with assists from Addy Sanchez and Valentina Russo.  Midfielders Abby Gerhards and Abby Sperlich had strong performances that helped control possession in favor of the Dutchmen.

Donegal 2, ELCO 1 [OT] – Kenzie Eckhart scored on an assist from Olivia Brubaker for ELCO’s lone goal. Claire Jacoby made 4 saves.

Lampeter-Strasburg 3, Northern Lebanon 0

Cedar Crest 4, Ephrata 0 – Improving t0 8-1, the Falcons were fueled by a hat trick from Alaina Miller that followed a Susie Hoffman goal that got the party started. Cameron Blouch had 2 assists, while Perrin Young added another.

 

BOYS SOCCER

Donegal 3, ELCO 0

McCaskey 2, Cedar Crest 1 –Matt Golub scored on an assist from Grant Reesor, but it wasn’t enough for the Falcons to prevail. Wyeth Ritter made 13 saves in net for Crest.

New Covenant 2, Covenant Christian 1

 

FIELD HOCKEY

Annville-Cleona 8, Solanco 1 – Tori Cisney (4 goals) and Kendall Cooper (3 goals, 1 assist) led the way for the Dutchmen. Ava Lopez Brandt also scored, while Claire Francis had two assists. Olivia Viozzi and Danika Setlock also each registered an assist. The defense did a good job limiting Solanco to just 4 shots, with goaltender Savannah Kleinfelter making 3 saves. Annville is now 9-0.

Palmyra 5, Biship McDevitt 0 – Jovie Weaver, AJ Walker, and Maddie Stahl each scored 1st half goals, while Bri Eckenroth added 2 goals in the 2nd half to give the SCIJ the victory. Hadley Hoffsmith had 2 assists, Leigha Kane & Madelynn Witt each had an assist. Abby Bennett made 2 saves. Palmyra is now 6-2.

 

GIRLS VOLLEYBALL

Conrad Weiser 3, ELCO 1 [25-22, 22-25, 19-25, 23-25] – The Raiders fell in four closely contested sets. They were led by Kierra Sholl (20 digs, 3 aces), Gabby Smith (15 kills), Julia Wenger (40 assists)), and Erica Snader (3 blocks).

Northern Lebanon 3, Cedar Crest 2 [25-11, 22-25, 26-24, 21-25, 15-11] – Northern Lebanon was led by Shea Moyer (11 kills), Rylee Sellers (4 aces), Adrianna Raber (15 assists), & Daisy Patrick (1 block). Cedar Crest’s stat leaders were Kendaie Dunsworth (18 kills, 1 ace), Bralynn Weise (20 assists), & Emersyn Bucher (1 block).
