During the 2024 summer season, three teams from LebCo are competing in the Lancaster County Midget (17u) League. Cedar Crest returns for their 2nd year after a successful maiden season that saw them fall in the semi-final under the lights at Clipper Magazine Stadium, home of the Lancaster Stormers (Full Article). Northern Lebanon and Annville-Cleona are now part of the League as well, having joined in the aftermath of the Lebanon County Legion League folding (Full Article).
With games regularly scheduled on Tuesdays and Thursdays, LebCoSports.com will bring you coverage of the Lancaster County Midget League, reporting scores on Wednesdays and Fridays.
The basic set-up is that teams will each play 13 games with the top eight teams advancing to the LNP Tournament, an event that has been held nearly continuously since 1946. That tournament takes place over the last week of July with the final taking place on August 1, 2024.
Teams completed their second week of play last week, with most teams having played five games thus far, save for Hempfield, who was busy winning a State Championship. Currently, Cedar Crest is 3-2, Northern Lebanon is 2-2, and Annville-Cleona is looking for their first win.
