Lebanon County Championship

Palmyra’s Elaina Potter was crowned the Singles Champion, while the Palmyra team of Rylee Sherwood & Rachel Ross claimed the Doubles Championship.

 

GIRLS SOCCER

Blue Gray CupCedar Crest 4, ELCO 1 – In the victory, Cameron Blouch scored twice and had 2 assists, while Alaina Miller had a goal and an assist. Susie Hoffman added a goal for the Falcons. Madi Nelson had the lone goal for the Raiders.

Ephrata 3, Palmyra 2 [OT] – Ava Lindemuth scored twice for the Lady Cougars, but Ephrata overcame an early deficit to win in extra time.

 

BOYS SOCCER

Ritter-Hoffman Cup – ELCO 2, Cedar Crest 0 – The Raiders got a goal from freshman Jevan Marquette on an assist from fellow frosh Mason Yoder. Later, Marquette got credit for an assist when Landon Goodison added an insurance goal.

ELCO 9, Donegal 1

Manheim Township 10, Cedar Crest 1 – Cara Figueroa scored the only Falcon goal. In the game, the Streaks registed 39 shots. Goalie Mikayln Weber had 26 saves!!! Ava Schreier had two defensive saves, while Madelyn Edwards had one.

GIRLS TENNIS

Elizabethtown 5, Lebanon 0

Manheim Central 4, Annville-Cleona 1 – Nia Hafey won her Singles match.

Northern Lebanon 5, Tulpehocken 2 – Thompson & Hollinger both won in Singles matches that pushed to hard fought tiebreakers. Wang also won in Singles. Hollinger/Wang & Lopez/Troup won in Doubles.

 

GIRLS SOCCER

Annville-Cleona 2, Lancaster Country Day 0 – Rowan Ulrich scored twice. Abby Sperlich assisted on one of Ulrich’s goals.

 

BOYS SOCCER

Lancaster Mennonite 6, Lebanon 1 – Freshman Gauge Soliday scored for the Cedars, their first goal of the season. Alexis Bedolla made 6 saves in net.

GIRLS SOCCER

Palmyra 8, CD East 0 – Delaney Miller got the scoring started and was then followed by Alayna Pascale, Elyse Ancharski, & Abby Byers who each scored twice. Kenzie Long also found the back of the net. Palmyra has evened its record to 3-3.

ELCO 5, Octorara 0 – Kenzie Eckhart had a hat trick & Hadyn Boyer had two goals as the Raiders ran their record to 5-2. Olivia Brubaker, Madi Nelson, Eckhart, & Boyer each had an assist.

Cedar Crest 1, Hempfield 0 – Alaina Miller scored the only goal that was needed to help the Falcons move to 6-1.

Donegal 3, Northern Lebanon 0

 

BOYS SOCCER

New Covenant 7, Covenant Christian 1 – Gavin Meson & Owen Fisher each had had 2 goals, while Colten Shaffer, Oliver Hoover, & Lincoln Hess added to the winning total. Fisher also had 2 assists, while Shaffer, Meson, goalie Graden Summers were also credited with assists. Summers had 9 saves. New Covenant is now 5-1.

ELCO 3, Octorara 0

Northern Lebanon 2, Donegal 0 – Bryant Baquerizo & Dominic Dry scored as the Vikings moved to 5-2 on the season. Diego Bustillo picked up an assist.

GIRLS VOLLEYBALL

ELCO 3, Solanco 0 [25-21, 25-15, 25-16] – The Raiders were led by Julia Wenger (18 assists, 4 aces), Chloe Shirk (6 kills, 2 blocks), & Kierra Sholl (11 digs, 5 kills, 3 aces). This is their 2nd straight win as they have improved their record to 3-4.

Palmyra 3, Lower Dauphin 2 [25-20, 18-25, 24-26, 25-21, 15-8] – Palmyra was led by Hannah McInerney (20 klls, 1 ace), Adriana Russek (11 kills), Kaydence Ward (9 kills), & Jules Kautz (9 kills). They are now 4-1 to start the season.

Lebanon 3, Columbia 0 – The Cedars win their 3rd straight to improve to 5-2. Efforts from Liliana Harrison (7 kills, 1 block), Kariana Minaya (6 kills), & Maria Miranda (4 aces) led the way in the victory.

 

GIRLS TENNIS 

ELCO 4, Tulpehocken 3 – Reece Woelfling, Nicole Books, & Kate Bozman were winners in Singles play. Bozman paired with Plummer for a key Doubles victory.

LL Section 4 @ Crossgates

Annville-Cleona went 4-1 on the day. Logan Francis was the top Dutchmen, firing a 76. Also serving as counters for AC were Wesley Heller (93), Aiden Lezon (96), & Kipton Heller (104).

 

 

Wednesday, September 11

GIRLS TENNIS

Cedar Crest 4, Lebanon 3 – A tight match came down to a three-set match in #4 Singles with Laura Barton defeating Sally Zheng (3-6, 6-1, 11-9) for the team win. Other winners for the Falcons were Katherine Idgunji & Aubrey Gard in Singles and the two of them pairing for the Doubles win. The Cedars had a Singles win by Scarlett Meyer and Doubles wins by Scarlett Meyer/Whitney Bartal & Sally Zheng/Yuna Mercedes.

Lancaster Catholic 5, Northern Lebanon 2 – Wang won in Singles, while Lopez/Troup combined for the Doubles win.

Annville-Cleona 6, Linden Hall 1

 

FIELD HOCKEY

Palmyra 1, Red Land 0 – Hadley Hoffsmith was assisted by Leigha Kane for the game’s only goal.

ELCO 6, Octorara 1 – Goalie Aeryn Marks had her 300th career save AND Addie Weiler tallied her 100th career point. Weiler scored 3 goals in the game and assisted on 2 others. Kailen Hibshman had 2 goals & 2 assists. Ayla Zwally tallied a goal in th game as well. Marks turned away two shots.

Annville-Cleona 8, Donegal 1 – The Dutchmen are now 8-0 to start the season.

Penn Manor 4, Cedar Crest 1 – The Comets unleashed a barrage of shots, outshooting the Falcons 21-2. Mikalyn Weber made 14 saves, while Ava Schreier made 3 defensive saves. Schreier also scored Cedar Crest’s only goal, assisted by Avery Lechleitner.

 

GIRLS SOCCER

Lancaster Catholic 3, Annville-Cleona 0 – Plagued by injury, the Dutchmen struggled to find their passing rhythm in this one.

ELCO 1, Pequea Valley 0 [2 OT] – In the 2nd overtime, Hadyn Boyer beat the goalie to win it for the Raiders. Kenzie Eckhart provided the assist.

New Covenant 9, Dayspring Christian 0 – Owen Fisher led the way with 4 goals. Gavin Meson scored 3 times, and Caleb Osorio & Colten Shaffer each scored once.

 

GIRLS TENNIS

ELCO 3, Pottsville 2 – Reece Woelfling & Nicole Books won in Singles, while the Doubles team of Kate Bozman/Alexis Hartz won in three sets to tip the match in ELCO’s favor.

Lebanon 3, McCaskey 1 – The Cedars won their 2nd straight match to improve to 4-2 on the season. They were led by Liliana Harrison (8 kills, 3 blocks), Noelani Cruz (16 assists), & Delicha Mendez Agosto (4 aces, 8 digs).

Hempfield 3, Cedar Crest 0 [25-15, 25-17, 25-18] – The Falcons were led by Lily Tice  (1 ace, 9 digs), Kenadie Dunsworth (1 ace, 9 digs), Caroline Heller (9 kills), Miley Hopple (10 assists), & Skyler Bohn (1 block).

Section 3 @ Donegal Highlands

Northern Lebanon went 3-1 on the day after combining for a 314, only behind Lampeter-Strasburg’s 301. The Vikings were led by Brian Bicksler (77), followed by Leland Kohr (78), Vinnie Battistelli (79), & Levi Shoemaker (80).

ELCO was 1-3 with a 352. The Raiders were led by Brady Keath (83) & Brett Wenger (84).

 

 

Monday, September 9

FIELD HOCKEY

Annville-Cleona 4, Octorara 3 – The Dutchmen improved to 7-0, behind goals from Tori Cisney, Kendall Cooper, Ava Lopez Grant, & Danika Setlock. Cooper added an assist. Setlock’s 4th quarter goal broke the 3-3 tie. Savannah Kleinfelter made 8 saves playing in the cage for Annville.

ELCO 5, Northern Lebanon 1 – Kailen Hibshman scored 4 goals to pace the Raiders with Addie Weiler also scoring.

Palmyra 1, Hershey 0 – Jovie Weaver was assisted by Bri Eckenroth in the game’s only goal as the Lady Cougars won in overtime to take the fiercely fought rivalry game. Abby Bennett made 3 saves.

Hempfield 2, Cedar Crest 0 –  Avery Lechleitner made 3 defensive saves, while Mikaylan Weber stopped 3 shots in goal.

 

GIRLS SOCCER

New Covenant 14, York Christian 1 – Riley Frisinger, Qynne Demler & Keira Kantner each had hat tricks. Leah Rotunda added 2 goals, with Miracle Hershey, Laney Zimmerman & Ranea Kilmer each scoring once. Emma Stevenson made 3 saves.

Annville-Cleona 1, Lancaster Mennonite 1 – Rowan Ulrich scored AC’s lone goal. Addy Sanchez got the assist.

Solanco 1, Lebanon 0 – The Cedars dominated the 2nd half behind strong efforts from Jandriel Flores & Owen Itzen, but could not find the goals necessary to pull out the win.

Lancaster Mennonite 6, Annville-Cleona 0

 

GIRLS TENNIS

Pequea Valley 4, ELCO 3 – Reece Woelfling & Nicole Books were victorious together in Doubles play, then returned to the court to pick up individual wins in Singles.

Warwick 4, Lebanon 3 – Scarlett Meyer & Sally Zheng won in Singles, while Zheng paired with Yuna Mercedes for a win in Doubles.

Northern Lebanon 5, Octorara 2 – Thompson, Hollinger, & Lopez were all winners in Singles. They each went on to win in Doubles, with Troup joining in the winning effort.

 

GIRLS VOLLEYBALL

ELCO 3, Northern Lebanon 2 [14-25, 25-16, 22-25, 25-21, 15-6] – In the five set thriller, ELCO was led by Julia Wenger (33 assists), Chole Shirk (14 kills), Kierra Sholl (14 digs, 5 aces) & Erica Snader (2 blocks). Northern Lebanon was led by Lyndsay Bombgardner (20 assists), Shea Moyer (7 kills), Claire Borcly (6 digs), Rylee Sellers (5 aces), and Dasha Celler (3 blocks).

Lebanon 3, New Covenant 1 – In the winning effort, the Cedars were led by Noelani Cruz (7 aces, 28 assists), Mariana Minaya (9 kills), & Jae Burrus (16 digs).

 

GOLF

Section 1  @ Fox Chase – Cedar Crest & Manheim Township finished in a tie atop on the leaderboard, but the Streaks took it on a tiebreaker. Carson DiBiaso had the highest finish for Crest, firing a 73 (+1), while Dylan Ramsay scored 76 (+4). With 1 match remaining, Cedar Crest is the Section 1 leader by 3 games.
