FIELD HOCKEY

Cedar Crest 2, Garden Spot 0 – Avery Lechleitner scored twice with Cara Figueroa & Estella Sanchez assisting.

Wyomissing 4, Northern Lebanon 0

Muhlenburg Tournament

1st round: ELCO 13, Muhlenburg 0 – The 13 goals set the ELCO record for most goals in a game. Kailen Hibshman led the way with 5 goals, while Addie Weiler had 3 goals. Also scoring were Jordan Rivera, Reagan Zwally, Meredith Noll, & Ava Bird.

Championship: ELCO 1, Susquehannock 0 – Addie Weiler scored the game’s lone goal, giving the Raiders the championship.

 

Cougar Classic

1st round: Palmyra 4, Selinsgrove 0 – Jovie Weaver, Leah Gephart, Madi Gingrich, and Maddy Waldron all had a goal for the Cougars. Hadley Hoffsmith had 2 assists, while Maddie Stahl and Madelynn Witt each assisted on a goal.

Championship: West Perry 3, Palmyra 2 – Jovie Weaver had a goal and an assist. Bri Eckenroth had a goal and Jovie Weaver picked up an assist. However, it was not enough as the Mustangs scored a 3rd quarter goal to break the tie.

Friday, September 6

FIELD HOCKEY

Annville-Cleona 7, McCaskey 0 – Tori Cisney scored a hat trick, while Kendall Cooper & Ava Lopez Brandt each scored twice. Cooper also had 2 assists, while Cisney had one as well. Savannah Kleinfelter recorded 13 saves to preserve the shutout. Annville totaled 31 shots on goal.

Thursday, September 5

FIELD HOCKEY

Palmyra 9, Mifflin County 1 – Madelynn Witt & Madi Gingrich each scored twice, while Leigha Kane, Avery Mettle, Jovie Weaver, AJ Walker, & Bri Eckenroth all added goals to the winning effort. Weaver, along with Hadley Hoffsmith had 2 assists each, with Kane & Addy Barger each assisting on one goal.

Lancaster Country Day 2, ELCO 1 

Lampeter-Strasburg 3, Cedar Crest 2 – Freshman Bella Paquette scored twice for the Falcons, but the Pioneers were able to overcome the effort. Avery Lechleitner had her 2nd assist of the season. In the cage, Mikalyn Weaber made 13 stops.

Northern Lebanon 3, Hamburg 1 – In the Viking victory, Alex Spanger, Taylor Klink, & Rylee Snyder each scored with Abby Liddick & Mac Miller adding assists. The defense limited Hamburg to just 2 shots.

 

GIRLS TENNIS

Annville-Cleona 6, Lancaster Mennonite 1 – Nia Hafey, Olivia Morrissey, & Gabriella Tetzlaff all won in Singles, while Amelia Summers, Kaleena Espada, & Hannah White joined them in sweeping the Doubles competition.

Linden Hall 6, ELCO 1 – Reece Woelfling was a winner playing out of the #1 Singles spot for the Raiders.

Pequea Valley 5, Northern Lebanon 2  – Shuey/Wang & Lopez/Troup each won in Doubles, as the Vikings picked up two wins despite losing the overall match.

Hempfield 7, Cedar Crest 0

Manheim Township 7, Lebanon 0

State College 5, Palmyra 0

 

GIRLS VOLLEYBALL

Garden Spot 3, ELCO 0 [25-19, 25-13, 25-12]

Octorara 3, Lebanon 2 – In the close five-set loss, the Cedars were led by Liliana Harrison (5 aces, 3 blocks), Noelani Cruz (7 assists), & Skylar Strickler (4 kills).

Northern Lebanon 3, Linden Hall 0 [25-6, 25-6, 25-8] – Adrianna Raber & Lyndsie Bomgardner led the Vikings with 6 aces a piece. Tori French chipped in 3 kills, while Isis Kalumbu & Daisha Celleri each had 1 block.

 

 

GIRLS SOCCER

ELCO 2, Conrad Weiser 0

Annville-Cleona 5, Millersburg 0 – Rowan Ulrich scored all of Annville’s goals. Yes, FIVE. Anna Lim & addy Sanchez registered assists, while Kya Missimer & Mikayla Sperlich played lockdown defense on the way to the shutout.

 

BOYS SOCCER

New Covenant 7, Lititz Christian 1 – Owen Fisher & Steven St. Clair each tallied 2 goals & an assist, while Colten Shaffer & Gavin Meson each had a goal & an assist. Oliver Hoover also found the net in the winning effort. Grayden Summers made 4 saves for the Flames.

 

 

Wednesday, September 4

GIRLS VOLLEYBALL

Palmyra 3, Mifflin County 0 [25-19, 25-10, 25-19] – Palmyra was led in the straight set victory by Hannah McInerney who had 10 kills & 2 aces. Jules Kautz had 9 kils out of the middle blocker slot, while Maddie Hoffman had 24 assists.

 

GIRLS TENNIS

Annville-Cleona 7, Octorara 0 – Amelia Summers, Nia Hafey, Olivia Morrissey, & Gabriella Tetzlaff were all winners in Singles, while Kaleena Espada & Hannah White joined them with a win in Doubles play.

Tuesday, September 3

FIELD HOCKEY

Annville-Cleona 3, Wyomissing 0  – Ava Brandt was involved in all three Dutchmen goals, scoring twice and also assisting on a goal by Olivia Viozzi. Kendall Cooper assisted on both on Brandt’s goals. Savannah Kleinfelter made 10 saves to keep Wyomissing scoreless.

Palmyra 3, Northern York 2 – Maddie Stahl scored once, while Bri Eckenroth found the back of the cage twice, including the game winning goal with just under two minutes remaining in the game.

Solanco 5, Lebanon 2 – Scarlett Meyer won her Singles match, then paired with Whitney Bartal for the victory in Doubles.

Linden Hall 6, Northern Lebanon 1 – The Doubles pairing of Lopez/Troup scored the lone Viking victory.

Annville-Cleona 5, Tulpehocken 0 – Rowan Ulrich recorded a hat trick and gained her 100th varsity point. Emma Shirk also scored twice in a game that goalkeepers Bailee Kohr & Mariam Elzek combined their efforts for the shutout.

Brandywine Heights 3, New Covenant 1 – Riley Frisinger scored New Covenant’s lone goal.

Northern Lebanon 3, Susquenita 1 – Ava Shirk, Emily Marinkov, and Hayley Mullen each scored for the Lady Vikings as they overcame an early 1-0 deficit.

ELCO 5, Berks Catholic 1 – Hadyn Boyer and Maddie Nelson each scored twice, while Kenzie Eckhart added a goal and an assist.

  • Cedar Crest’s Eliana Schneider won the race at South Hills Park. Her time of 20:06 was 25 seconds ahead of Ephrata’s top runner.

  • Cedar Crest’s Travis Furmanski finished 1st. His time was 17:36 as he crossed the line 9 seconds ahead of Lebanon’s Gavin Sheetz.

  • Mackenzie Stellmach won the invidual race with a time of 19:25. Her sister, Lucy, was 2nd with a time of 20:12.

Boys

Annville-Cleona 17, Pequea Valley 44

  • Landon Hostetter finished 1st with a time of 15:57. Annville took the next two spots with Oliver Funck (16:12) and David Moran (16:33) finishing 2nd and 3rd.

  • ELCO’s Shawna Donough was the top LebCo finishers, placing 2nd with a time of 24:13.

Penn Manor 3, Cedar Crest 0 [25-20, 25-23, 25-18] – In the hard-fought match, Bralynn Weise led the Falcons with 7 aces & 8 assists. Kenaide Dunsworth recorded 6 kills & 14 digs, while Caroline Heller had 3 blocks.

West Shore Christian 3, New Covenant 2

Manheim Central 3, ELCO 0 [25-17, 25-17, 25-14]

Lebanon 3, Lancaster Mennonite 2 [20-25, 25-18, 16-25, 25-22, 15-11] – The Cedars rallied for the victory. They were led by Liliana Harrison (7 kills, 6 blocks), Jae Burrus (13 digs), & Noelani Cruz (5 aces, 9 assists).
