LL Section 1 @ Fairview
With a successful day on Monday, during which the Cedar Crest successfully started their season 5-0, the Falcons were back in action on Thursday, this time at Fairview. Cedar Crest was nothing short of fantastic on their home course, as their top four players combined for a 283.
Not only was the score one-under par, but it bested the 293 put up by the 2022 Crest team that won the Lancaster Lebanon League Championship. In this year’s win at Fairview, Crest posted an emphatic victory with Manheim Township as the next closest team, with a 296 (+12).
Ethan Rader led the entire field, carding a 69 (-2). Behind their senior leader, Crest had three more members of its squad finish in the top five. Dylan Ramsey shot a 70 (-1), while Davin Kolter and Carson DiBiaso each scored a 72 (+1). Also competing for Cedar Crest were Isaac Wolfe and Jackson Seidel, each with an 81 (+10).
The current standings after two rounds are:
Cedar Crest: 10-0
Manheim Township: 8-2
Warwick: 6-4
Penn Manor: 4-6
Ephrata: 2-8
Hempfield: 0-10
Section 1 will have their third of six matches on August 28th when Hempfield hosts at Four Seasons.
Tuesday, August 13th
LL Section 3 @ Pine Meadows
The first Section 3 match of the season took place at Pine Meadows, hosted by ELCO. The course, which also serves as Northern Lebanon’s home base, featured both the Raiders and the Vikings, along with Donegal, Octorara, and Lampeter-Strasburg, the perennial powerhouse and defending Section 3 Champs.
The Pioneers again flexed their muscle, shooting a combined 297 with Dino Wilson‘s 69 leading the way. Par is 72 at Pine Meadows.
Northern Lebanon finished 2nd overall with a 338. This was their first match in Section 3 after making the bump up from their previous assignment in Section 4, where they finished 19-11 a year ago. The Vikings’ top four were Levi Shoemaker (82), Collin Padovani (84), Brian Bicksler (86), and Leland Kohr (86). Vinnie Battistelli (87) and Aiden Long (111) also competed for Northern Lebanon.
ELCO took 381 strokes to finish 4th on the leaderboard, just behind Donegal’s 372 and ahead of Octorara’s 403. The Raiders were led by Brady Keath (89) and Brett Wenger (92). Liam Savitsky and James Dolan each shot 100 to round out the counters. Grant Wenger (105) and Landon Rhodes (107) also played the 18-hole course for ELCO.
The current standings in Section 3 are as follows:
Lampeter-Strasburg: 4-0
Northern Lebanon: 3-1
Donegal: 2-2
ELCO: 1-3
Octorara: 0-4
They will be back at Pine Meadows next Tuesday when Northern Lebanon plays host.

Section 1 action got off to a hot start when Manheim Township hosted the first match of the season at Overlook. In addition to Township, Cedar Crest was joined by Warwick, Penn Manor, Ephrata, and Hempfield. The last two seasons, Cedar Crest fell just one win shy of the Section 1 Championship, each time losing to Manheim Township. On this day, Cedar Crest put up a combined score of 305 to finish five strokes ahead of their biggest rival.
Ethan Rader led Cedar Crest with a 2nd place finish after shooting a 73 (+3). Dylan Ramsey, the former State Champion, carded a 75 (+5) to finish tied for 3rd overall. Davin Kolter (78, +8) and Carson DiBiaso (79, +9) finished 8th and 9th, respectively, to close out the scoring for the Falcons. Also competing in the varsity competition for Crest were Isaac Wolfe (80, +10) in 12th position and Jackson Seidel (86, +16) in 22nd.
The current standings through Round 1 are:
Cedar Crest: 5-0
Manheim Township: 4-1
Warwick: 3-2
Penn Manor: 2-3
Ephrata: 1-4
Hempfield: 0-5
These teams will meet again this Thursday when Cedar Crest hosts at Fairview. The Falcons (5-0) will be looking to create even more distance between them and the rest of the Section.
LL Section 4 @ Bent Creek
In the first Section 4 match of the season, six teams met at Bent Creek for a shortened nine-hole contest. The newly aligned Section features two LebCo teams: Annville-Cleona and Lebanon. Lancaster Catholic, Lancaster Mennonite, Pequea Valley, and Lancaster Country Day are the other four teams that are competing in Section 4 this season, a league that was won by Annville last year after they went a perfect 30-0.
With only one returning varsity player from last year available on Monday, Annville scored 193 with its four counters: Logan Francis (34), Aiden Lezon (47), Owen Wright (53), and Luke Cisney (59). Francis’s score was the lowest of any player on the day, defeating his next closest opponent by five strokes. Noah Morcom (59) and Cian Soliday (63) also competed as varsity players for the Dutchmen. Their combined total of 193 was behind only Pequea Valley, which combined for a 166.
Lebanon lost all five match-ups on the day but was able to field a complete foursome, with senior Ben DiScuillo leading the way with a 55. Also competing for the Cedars were Rolen Firestone (59), Trinity Leaper (64), and Zach Leffler (66). The team shot a combined 244.

Annville-Cleona: 4-1
Lanc. Catholic: 3-2
Lanc. Country Day: 2-3
