District 3 Power Rankings Update – May 13, 2024

This is a brief look at where each of the LebCo teams rank in the District 3 Power Rankings. There are times when  there is a lag in the Power Rankings due to constant contests throughout the Spring. However, this this will give you an idea where all of LebCo’s teams currently stand in the power ranked sports of Baseball, Softball, Lacrosse, Boys Tennis, and Boys Volleyball. Track & Field is not a power ranked sport.

Below, we also take a look at how the power ratings compare for every LebCo Baseball & Softball team.

Baseball – LebCo Power Rankings

Using the rating that is calculated from the District 3 Power Rankings, here is a list in order of how our LebCo Baseball teams stack up when considering their win/loss totals and strength of schedule.

There weren’t any changes in the rankings from last week. ELCO and Cedar Crest each have one game remaining on Monday that will help to decide their fate. Crest will host Palmyra, while ELCO will play Tulpehocken. If everything breaks in favor of qualification, five of the six LebCo teams will continue to play next week when Districts begin.

1)  Northern Lebanon (Last Week #1)

Softball – LebCo Power Rankings

Using the rating that is calculated from the District 3 Power Rankings, here is a list in order of how our LebCo Softball teams stack up when considering their win/loss totals and strength of schedule.

With three LebCo teams as locks for Districts, there was not much movement this week. ELCO finished strong to help their overall seed, while LL Playoff wins by Northern Lebanon and Annville-Cleona are not reflected in Power Rankings. Also, Palmyra held on to their #4 spot, however a loss last week has not been factored into the final tally. Cedar Crest and Palmyra will play eachother on Monday, while Northern Lebanon and Annville will be focused on their LL Semifinal matchups.
