Correa Named 1st Team All-State
For the third time in her high school career, Lebanon’s Kailah Correa has been named All-State by the PA Sportswriters. This time, the junior was named the 1st Team after averaging 19.0 points per game and leading the Cedars to their 2nd straight Section 1 Championship (third Section title overall). Congrats, Kailah! Schneider Collects Penn Relay Bronze, Cedar Crest 4x800m Impresses
On Thursday, Cedar Crest’s Eliana Schneider competed at the Penn Relays in the Javelin. Through four throws, Schneider was sitting in 2nd place with a top throw of 146’11”. Her throw using the standard measurement system was tied with Sophia Scott of Omaha, Nebraska, but was .01 meters behind using the metric system. In the 5th round, Taysha Stubbs of the Bahamas stepped up with a throw of 153’2”, which she followed up with a throw of 154’9” on her final throw. Schneider walked away with an impressive 3rd place finish in a competition that drew some of the best high school throwers from the United States and beyond.
For Schneider, it was her second event of the day, having served as the opening leg of the Cedar Crest 4x800m. With a time of 9:37.23, the Falcons placed 8th out of 18 in their heat. Schneider (2:23.75) led off, with Lizzie Lowe (2:17.48), Audrey Fugate (2:31.49), and Kaddel Howard (2:24.52) following. Across two heats of large schools, Cedar Crest placed 14th of 34.
In action on Friday at Franklin Field, Palmyra’s Mason Bucks is scheduled to compete in the Pole Vault.

County Track & Field Meet Set for Friday Night
On Friday night, Cedar Crest will host the 2024 Lebanon County Track & Field Championships. Field events will begin at 4:00 pm, while Track events will begin at 4:30 pm. The full schedule can be found here. Admission is $5 for all spectators.
If you might recall, last year was the first year in the event’s history that it wasn’t held at Lebanon High School. It was also the first time it was held in the evening. This year, it is again being held at Cedar Crest, with Lebanon’s venue still under construction. Here are the results from the 2023 meet. (Published 4/25 @ 5 am)

Local Wrestlers in Vegas
Three local high school wrestlers traveled to Las Vegas to compete in this weekend’s U.S. Open Championships. ELCO’s Klint Miller will compete in the Greco Roman on Thursday before turning his attention to the Freestyle competition that will begin on Saturday. Northern Lebanon’s Aaron Seidel and Sam Wolford will also be working through opponents in the Freestyle competition. Good luck, gentlemen!

George Announces College Decision
Last Friday, ELCO’s Dallas George announced via social media that he has committed to continuing his Basketball career at McDaniel College. George spent the past four seasons as a starter for the Raiders, finishing his career as ELCO’s all-time leader in assists and steals. We wish him the best of luck in Westminster!
