On Wednesday afternoon, LebCo’s six high schools met at Royal Oaks for the annual Lebanon County Golf Championship. On the par seventy-two course, the teams battled for bragging rights as the best team in the county. In this tournament, the top three scores for each team counted towards the team score, a departure from the usual four used in matches throughout the season.
After all eighteen holes were played and the scorecards turned in, it was Cedar Crest who walked away with the County Championship. The Falcons finished with a 219, 19 strokes ahead of Annville-Cleona, to win their 2nd straight title.
Also winning a 2nd straight County Championship was Dylan Ramsey. The Cedar Crest sophomore fired a 70 (-2), besting the next closest competitor by 3 strokes. That competitor was Crest’s Ethan Rader, who finished with silver for the 2nd straight year. At last year’s match, Ramsey and Rader tied with a 75 the eighteen holes at the Lebanon Country Club and had to decide the winner in a playoff. Annville’s Logan Francis finished in 3rd place with a 75, breaking up the Cedar Crest sweep, as Carson DiBiaso finished 4th with a 76 and served as their final counter.
