Palmyra Holds Off Lower Dauphin to Move to 4-0

Palmyra continued its unbeaten start to the season Wednesday night, holding off Lower Dauphin for an 11-10 victory in girls lacrosse action. The Cougars once again found a way to come through in a tight contest, improving to 4-0 on the year with another strong effort.

Offensively, Palmyra was led by Ava Lantz, who finished with 5 goals and 1 assist. Lily Ferretti added 3 goals, while Ella Detwiler contributed 1 goal and 2 assists. Grace Frew and Eloise Frailey each scored once, and Megan Isett chipped in 2 assists as the Cougars did enough to stay in front.

On the defensive end, Palmyra got another strong effort from Savannah Epler, who recorded 9 saves in goal. Claire Busher added 4 ground balls to help the Cougars hold off Lower Dauphin down the stretch.

Palmyra will look for win No. 5 when it hosts Trinity on Monday. Lower Dauphin dropped to 2-1 with the loss.
