Girls Tennis

LebCo Championship

Palmyra won the team title, while Annville-Cleona finished as the runner-up. Nia Hafey of Annville won the Singles Championship, while Palmyra’s duo of Niyanta Patel and Trini Martinez won the Doubles title.

 

Girls Soccer

Blue-Gray Cup: ELCO 1, Cedar Crest 0 – Kenzie Eckhart scored the game’s only goal just 3 minutes into the contest, as the Lady Raider defense kept Crest off the board the rest of the way.

Northern Lebanon 5, Tri Valley 0 – Northern Lebanon powered past Tri Valley, with Haylee Mullen scoring twice and assisting on two more. Emily Marinkov added a pair of goals and Olivia Winters finished the scoring. The Vikings controlled play with a 16-5 shot advantage.

Palmyra 3, Ephrata 1 – Palmyra earned the victory as Kenzie Long, Alyse Lindenmuth, and Sammy Seager each found the back of the net. The Cougars’ attack was fueled by helpers from Ella Clements, Lindenmuth, and Elyse Ancharski.

 

Boys Soccer

Ritter-Hoffman Cup: Cedar Crest 3, ELCO 2 [2 OT]

Annville-Cleona 3, Antietam 0 – The Dutchmen got goals from Ezra Lim and Asbin Gurung, who each scored twice, while Travis Hostetter also tallied a goal.

Palmyra 1, Ephrata 0 – The Cougars struck early, netting the decisive goal in the 9th minute when District Champion pole vaulter Jaxton Barger found the back of the net off an assist from Nolan Haney.

Week 4 Results

 

Field Hockey

ELCO 3, Donegal 2 – Meredith Noll had a hat trick to lead the Raiders. Addie Weiler and Audrey Boehler each recorded an assist. Goalie Savannah Gettle made 2 crucial saves, helping ELCO control the pace despite Donegal holding more corner opportunities.

Cedar Crest 3, Garden Spot 0 – The Falcons shut out Garden Spot behind goals from Sam Brown and two from Bella Paquette. Keeper Mikalyn Weaber made four saves to preserve the clean sheet as the Falcons held a 7-4 shot advantage.

Annville-Cleona 3, Solanco 1 – Georgia Sellers scored a pair of goals and the Dutchmen got another from Nora Hoover, with assists coming from Claire Francis (2) and Sellers. Keeper Savannah Kleinfelter was outstanding with 17 saves to secure the win despite Solanco’s 18 shots on goal.

New Covenant 2, West Shore Christian 1 – Hannah Hubbard scored on an assist from Akaiya Hershey, Qynne Demler scored an unassisted goal to pace the Flames. Emma Stevenson made 14 saves in goal.

Lancaster Mennonite 5, Lebanon 1 – For the Cedars, Arabella Overdier scored on an assist from Madison Rutter.

 

Boys Soccer

New Covenant 12, Covenant Christian 0 – The Flames secured a strong victory behind standout performances from Owen Fisher (3 goals, 2 assists) and Nathan Barnhart (3 goals, 1 assist), with key contributions from Wyatt Fisher (2 goals, 1 assist) and Gavin Meson (2 goals, 3 assists). Additional scoring came from Lincoln Hess (1 goal), Dominic Newswanger (1 goal, 1 assist), Daulton Seibert (1 goal), and Aiden Masi (1 goal), rounding out a balanced and dynamic offensive effort.

Girls Soccer

Palmyra 8, CD East 0 – Kenzie Long (3 goals, 1 assist) powered the Cougars’ attack, with strong support from Tamlyn Dewitt (2 goals), Alyse Lindenmuth (1 goal), Ali Jimenez (1 goal), and Summer Loew (1 goal). Setting up the offense were Elyse Ancharski (2 assists), Abby Byers (2 assists), Alej Weber (1 assist), and Izzy Weber (1 assist).

ELCO 3, Octorara 1 – Hadyn Boyer scored twice, Olive Brubaker added a goal, and Kenzie Eckhart was credited with an assist as the Lady Raiders moved to 6-1 on the season.

Hempfield 2, Cedar Crest 0

 

Boys Soccer

ELCO 4, Octarara 0 – The Raiders pulled out a win with early goals from Jevan Marquette and Samual Keener, both assisted by Ben Macchione, who finished with two assists. Additional scoring came from Braden Gettle and Tanner Hibshman (assisted by Gettle), sealing the Raiders’ victory.

New Covenant 4, Shalom Christian 3 [OT] – Down 3-0, the Flames rallied to earn the overtime win. They are now 5-1-1.

Hempfield 4, Cedar Crest 2 – Cedar Crest fell to the Black Knights despite goals from Lucas Schreier (7:00) and Jemar Pauleus (45:00), keeping the team competitive throughout the match.

Palmyra 1, CD East 0 – Freshman midfielder Cooper Komykoski scored the game’s lone goal.

 

 

Girls Volleyball

Northern Lebanon 3, Octorara 0 [25-11, 25-20, 25-10] – The Vikings were led by Shea Moyer, who tallied 7 kills, 11 digs, and 7 aces, showcasing her all-around impact on the court. Claire Borcky added 2 blocks and Emma Marlowe contributed 7 kills, while Lyndsie Bomgardner ran the offense with 30 assists. Northern Lebanon is now leading Section 3.

Ephrata 3, Cedar Crest 0 [25-22, 25-9, 25-22] –  In the loss, the Falcons were led by Miley Hopple  with 14 assists and 1 ace, while Caroline Heller contributed 11 kills, 2 blocks, and 13 digs,

ELCO 3, Solanco 1 [25-20, 25-18, 19-25, 25-23]  – Chloe Shirk (19 kills, 3 aces) led the way as ELCO earned a strong victory, delivering both power at the net and consistency from the service line. The Raiders also got key contributions from Keirra Sholl (18 digs) anchoring the defense and Julia Wenger (35 assists) running the offense.

 

Golf

Tri-Match: Northern Lebanon, ELCO, Tulpehocken

In a nine-hold tri-match at Lebanon Valley Golf Course, Tulpehocken (162) defeated Northern Lebanon (170) & ELCO (176). Northern Lebanon’s Collin Padovani finished 3rd on the leaderboard with a 39, while teammate Andrew Via was right behind him with a 40. Brady Habecker was ELCO’s top golfer with a 42.

Section 1 @ Fairview

Cedar Crest moved back into a tie for the Section 1 lead after placing 6 of the top 11 on the leaderboard.

Wednesday, September 10

Girls Tennis

Lebanon 6, Cedar Crest 1 – The Cedars, now 5-2, were led by Scarlett Meyer, Sarah Zheng, Yuna Mercedes, and Sally Zheng sweeping the singles matches, including Sarah Zheng’s thrilling victory over Ava Bashore with a score of 0-6, 7-6 (7-5), 10-8. The doubles teams of Meyer/Zheng and Mercedes/Zheng also secured victories. Cedar Crest’s lone victory came courtesy of the pairing of K. Cawley/Ramsey.

Annville-Cleona 7, Linden Hall 0 – The Dutchmen swept with strong performances in singles play from Nia Hafey, Gabriella Tetzlaff, Kaleena Espada, and Samara Roserie. The Dutchmen also secured a clean sweep in doubles play, led by Hafey/Tetzlaff, Espada/Roserie, and Mackenzie Long/Charlotte Clyde.

Lancaster Catholic 7, Northern Lebanon 0

 

Girls Soccer

Lancaster Catholic 7, Annville-Cleona 1 – Addy Sanchez netted the lone goal on a feed from Mikayla Sperlich, but a talented Lancaster Catholic squad ultimately proved too much for the Dutchmen to overcome.

Pequea Valley 5, Annville-Cleona 0

 

Field Hockey

Palmyra 3, Red Land 0 – It took until the second half, but the Cougars pulled away for the win with goals from Avery Mettle, Allie Fink, and Jovie Weaver. Weaver recorded an assist, while Leigha Kane set up two goals. Palmyra, who did not allow a single shot on goal, improves to 7-0 on the season.

ELCO 5, Octorara 0 – The Raiders dominated in shots, 14-2, as Audrey Boehler, Paityn Newswanger, Sophie Hollinshead, Meredith Noll, and Addie Weiler each found the back of the net. Meredith Noll added two assists, while Mackenzie Hibshman assisted on another.

Annville-Cleona 5, Donegal 1 – Claire Francis led the charge, tallying two goals and two assists. The Dutchmen also got strong contributions from Ana Paewitz, Georgia Sellers, and Julia Goss, each scoring a goal. Savannah Kleinfelter made five saves in goal.

Penn Manor 6, Cedar Crest 0 – Outshot 33-2, Mikalyn Weaber came up with 25 saves, while Kate Poorman & Avery Lechleitner each made defensive saves.

Tuesday, September 9th

Girls Soccer

ELCO 1, Pequea Valley 0 – Kenzie Eckhart the game’s only goal to give the Raiders the victory. Maddie Nelson assisted on the game-winner right before halftime.

Red Land 2, Palmyra 1 – Alyse Lindenmuth found the net for the Cougars.

Cedar Crest 1, Penn Manor 1 – Riley Frisinger scored for the Falcons as the game ended in a draw.

Octorara 1, Northern Lebanon 0 [OT]

 

Boys Soccer

New Covenant 8, Dayspring Christian 0 – In the victory, Gavin Meson achieved the 100-point milestone for his career.

Lancaster Catholic 6, ELCO 2

Cedar Crest 1, Penn Manor 0 – At the 79:00 mark, Lucas Schreier scored off an assist from Vincent Mattern. That was all that was needed to send the Falcons to a 5-0 record.

 

Girls Volleyball

Palmyra 3, Carlisle 0 – Leading the way for the Cougars was outside hitter Hannah McInerney with 15 kills and middle blocker Jules Kautz with 11, while Maryn Russell and Maddie Ross each added 6 kills. On defense, Ellie Frailey had 17 digs and Kate LaChance contributed 11. Palmyra is now 4-0.

Northern Lebanon 3, Lancaster Mennonite 0 [25-21, 25-22, 25-16] – Leading the sweep for the Vikings was who Shea Moyer powered the attack with 14 kills. Claire Borcky added 7 aces, 4 blocks, and 3 digs, while Lyndsie Bomgardner set the pace with 22 assists.

McCaskey 3, Lebanon 0

McCaskey 7, Lebanon 0 – Stefani Guedez made 27 saves for the Cedars.

 

Girls Tennis

ELCO 5, Pottsville 2 – The Raiders picked up five wins in the match, with Delanie Hartman, Melanie Baldwin, and Haley Stickler earning key victories in singles play, while Hartz/Donough and Hartman/Baldwin teamed up for hard-fought doubles wins to seal the victory.

Golf’

Section 4

Annville-Cleona‘s Ben Allwein (68) and Logan Francis (77) were the top golfers at Crossgates as the Dutchmen moved into a tie for first place with Pequea Valley.

 

Section 3

Northern Lebanon‘s Collin Padovani tied for 2nd with a 77 as the Vikings finished 3rd behind Donegal & LS. ELCO was led by Brett Wenger, who carded an 84.

 

Cross Country

Annville-Cleona v Pequea Valley

Girls: Annville-Cleona 27, Pequea Valley 28 – Mackenzie Stellmach, Leah Tshudy, and Lucy Stellmach went 2-3-4 as the Dutchmen edged visiting Pequea Valley.

Boys: Annville-Cleona 22, Pequea Valley 35 – The Dutchmen went 2-3-4 with David Moran, Oliver Funck, & Benjamin Boyd to lead the charge in taking the home meet victory.

 

ELCO @ Octorara

Girls: ELCO 15, Octorara 50 – Reagan Zwally, Lizzie Croft, Paityn Newswanger, and Riley Keener led the Raiders as they picked up the win over the undermanned Braves.

Boys: Octorara 15, ELCO 50 – Octorara’s strength was on display. ELCO was led by Nicolas Wolfe who ran a 21:46

 

Cedar Crest v Lebanon & Manheim Township

Girls: Manheim Township 25, Cedar Crest 36

Girls: Cedar Crest 15, Lebanon 50

Girls: Manheim Township 15, Lebanon 50

Makenzie Wamsher and Eliana Schneider went 1-2 in the race to lead Crest, but the depth of Township was too much to overcome to snag a team victory.

 

Boys: Manheim Township 27, Cedar Crest 30

Boys: Cedar Crest 15, Lebanon 50

Boys: Manheim Township 15, Lebanon 50

Cedar Crest’s Travis Furmanski was the top racer on the day, finish his home course in 16:12. Tony Figueroa (17:17) was 5th overall. However, Township was able to edge the Falcons in a clash of Section 1’s best. Lebanon’s Sammy Hershey finished in 18:48.

 

Northern Lebanon & Linden Hall @ Lancaster Catholic

Girls: Lancaster Catholic 22, Northern Lebanon 35

Girls: Northern Lebanon 15, Linden Hall 48

Leading the Vikings were Zoey Bouchard and Chloe Seyfert who finished 3rd & 4th overall.

Boys: Northern Lebanon 22, Lancaster Catholic 33 – Luke Hentz (17:32) led the field closely followed by teammates Thaddeus Raub and Anthony Frederick as the Vikings defeated the Crusaders.

Monday, September 8th

Field Hockey

Annville-Cleona 4, Octorara 3 [OT] – Octorara scored three goals in the first eight minutes, but the Dutchmen battled back to win it in overtime. Georgia Sellers scored the first three goals and Claire Francis found the back of the cage with the game-winning goal.

Palmyra 3, Hershey 2 –The Cougars scored three goals to down rival Hershey, with Allie Fink opening the scoring and Addy Barger adding a second off an assist from Leigha Kane. Maddie Stahl sealed the win with a late field goal, despite Hershey goals from Larkin Tweet and Kendall Pavone.

ELCO 2, Northern Lebanon 0 – ELCO outshot the Vikings 14-0 and held a 9-1 advantage in penalty corners. Ava Bird and Addie Weiler provided the scoring in the first quarter to pace the Raiders, while NL’s defense was kept busy with 10 saves and two defensive stops.

Hempfield 3, Cedar Crest 1 – Bella Paquette scored the lone goal for the Falcons, while Mikalyn Weaber made 18 saves in the cage.

 

Girls Volleyball

ELCO 3, Northern Lebanon 1 [26-24, 24-26, 25-14, 25-22]ELCO won the showdown between the two LebCo teams, improving to 5-1 on the season while Northern Lebanon dropped to 3-2. The Raiders were led by Kierra Sholl and Chloe Shirk, who each tallied 20 kills. Erica Snader added 3 aces and 4 blocks, Taylor Martin recorded 16 digs with Sholl contributing 14, and Julia Wenger handed out 42 assists to drive the offense. For the Vikings, Shea Moyer posted 19 kills, while Emma Marlowe paced the back row with 23 digs and chipped in 8 aces. Lyndsie Bomgardner kept the attack moving with 35 assists, and Isabella Batistelli along with Claire Borcky each registered a block.

 

Girls Soccer

New Covenant 16, York Christian 2 – The Flames powered were powered by a balanced attack with goals being scored by 11 different players: Kai Hershey (2), Qynne Demler (2), Laney Zimmerman (2), Adriana Yeagley (2), Hanna Hubbard (2), Elise Stoner (1), Emma Zintak (1), Moriah Simniskis (1), Liliy Rohrer (1), Gracie Troxell (1), and Raena Kilmer (1). In goal, Emma Stevenson made 1 save on the only shot she faced.

Annville-Cleona 4, Lancaster Mennonite 0 – Emma Shirk scored twice, while Mikayla and Abby Sperlich added goals with Addy Sanchez contributing two assists. Anna Lim provided senior leadership and precise passing, helping AC control possession for much of the game.

Cedar Crest 1, Conestoga Valley 0 – Cam Blouch scored the game’s only goal in the 32nd minute. Maddie Shanfelter made 4 saves to preserve the shutout.

 

Boys Soccer

Lebanon 2, Solanco 1 [OT] – The Cedars scored first with a goal from Faris Omar with an assist from Chris Osoria. The winner came when Gage Soliday blasted a free kick from 40 yards out over the keeper in OT.

 

Girls Tennis

Cedar Crest 4, Ephrata 3 – The Falcons edged the Mounts with doubles wins from Laura Barton/Lana Cawley and Kara Cawley/Lexi Ramsey, while Ava Bashore added a singles victory and Ali Sparks sealed the match in a 10-8 tiebreaker.

Annville-Cleona 7, Columbia 0 – The Dutchmen got singles wins from Nia Hafey, Gabriella Tetzlaff, Kaleena Espada, and Sophia Sirianna. The doubles teams of Hafey/Tetzlaff, Espada/Sirianna, and Mackenzie Long/Samara Roserie also came away victorious, completing a clean sweep. The match also marked a milestone for junior Nia Hafey, who won her 50th career match, becoming the fastest player in school history to reach 50 wins.

Lebanon 6, Warwick 1

Pequea Valley 7, ELCO 0

Octorara 4, Northern Lebanon 3 – Winning matches for the Vikings were Troup in singles, and doubles teams Shuey/Troup and Diaz/Niebauer.
