This weekend, both the Lancaster Lebanon League and the Mid Penn Conference are holding their Championships. Although, only Cedar Crest and Palmyra compete as full teams throughout the winter season, there are athletes from five LebCo schools in action. LebCo athletes combined for eighteen medals.
Next up in the Swimming & Diving postseason will be the District 3 Championships. The Swimming portion of the championships will take place at Cumberland Valley High School on February 28th & March 1st. The Diving event will take place at Dover High School the previous weekend.
Districts serves as a qualifying event for the PIAA State Championships at Bucknell in mid-March.

2024 League Championship Results
Lancaster Lebanon League
On Thursday and Friday evenings, the Lancaster Lebanon League Swim Championships were held at Franklin & Marshall’s McGuiness Pool located within the Kunkel Aquatic Center. The league-wide event included local athletes from Annville-Cleona, Cedar Crest, Lebanon, Northern Lebanon. When all of the events were complete, LebCo athletes collected eight medals.
The top winner among the LebCo contigent was Lebanon sophomore Jomar Hidalgo who collected two medals, a silver and bronze. On the girls’ side, Cedar Crest’s Grace Rosenberg, a junior. earned a total of three medals, two individual and a relay.

Mid Penn Conference – Palmyra
At the Mid Penn Championships, Palmyra was one of twenty-six teams competing at Cumberland Valley High School. The event started with a separate diving competition on Wednesday, with swimming taking place on Friday and Saturday. When all of the events had finished, Palmyra had collected ten medals. The performance by the Boys team placed them 6th overall with 178 points. The Girls scored 90 points for a 9th place finish.
The first medals came on Wednesday with impressive performances by Elaina Potter and Kristen Thai, who both medaled. In the swimming events. the top medal was a silver won by Sam Gladysz, one of four medals her earned in the competition. Gladysz was a member of two Cougar relays that earned bronze medals.
