PIAA State Championship Results

FIELD HOCKEY

District 3 Playoffs

AA: Palmyra 1, Hershey 0 – The Lady Cougars claimed 3rd place in District 3 behind a 2nd quarter goal by Maddie Stahl. She was assisted by Mallory Hudson. Goaltender Abby Bennett made 5 saves to keep Hershey off the board. Palmyra’s next stop is the PIAA State Playoffs.

4A: ELCO 31, Octorara 6

GIRLS SOCCER

District 3 Playoffs

AAA: Manheim Central 2, Palmyra 0 – The #10-seeded Lady Barons held off the challenge by the #12-seeded Lady Cougars to clinch the final spot in the PIAA Playoffs.

Wednesday, October 30

FIELD HOCKEY

District 3 Playoffs

AA: Warwick 3, Palmyra 1 – In the District 3 Semifinals, the top-seeded Warriors defeated Palmyra. The Lady Cougars will now turn their sights towards the 3rd place game against rival Hershey.

AA: Elizabethtown 2, ELCO 1 – In the Consolation game, E-Town was able to get past the Raiders. This loss ends the season for the Section 3 Champs.

Monday, October 28

GIRLS SOCCER

District 3 Playoffs

AAA: Lower Dauphin 8, Palmyra 1 – Kenzie Long scored on a pass from Ellie Bauer, but Lower Dauphin broke away for the win in the District Semifinals. Palmyra will now head to Manheim Central on Thursday night (6 pm) where they will play the Barons for 3rd place and the final spot in the PIAA State Playoffs.
