Help us decide which male and female athlete should be honored for their outstanding efforts during last week’s local high school sports action. While you may have a favorite school or athlete already, we still encourage you to read through the lists below and then click on the link to vote.
Voting will remain open until Thursday at 10 pm.
While athletes can be nominated multiple weeks, the winners will be removed and updates will be provided as the season progresses.
While this may be a vote and emotions can run high, this is intended to bring attention to some of the best performances from our local student-athletes.
Nominations, which are made working with the schools, are listed below in alphabetical order.
Please read about each nominee, celebrate their accomplishment, and then go vote who you feel is most deserving of this week’s honor.
The winners will be announced at the end of the week.

Female Nominees
Addie Barger (Palmyra / Jr.) – Field Hockey: The junior continued her strong season with 3 goals and 2 assists during another unbeaten week for Palmyra. Barger scored twice and added an assist in Monday’s 6-0 victory over Hershey, then contributed 1 goal and 1 assist in Wednesday’s 5-1 win over Lower Dauphin. Her production helped the Cougars remain perfect on the season.
Annie Grinstead (Palmyra / Fr.) – Girls Soccer: The freshman came through in a huge moment during Tuesday’s 3-2 victory over rival Hershey. With Palmyra trailing 2-1 and less than 5 minutes remaining, Grinstead scored twice in the closing minutes to turn the deficit into a Cougar victory. Palmyra followed with a 2-0 win over Red Land on Thursday to complete a 2-0 week.
Lacey Martin (New Covenant / So.) – Girls Volleyball: The sophomore led New Covenant in both digs and assists during the week, providing leadership, defensive hustle, and court vision. Martin’s all-around performance helped the Flames earn their first victory of the season in their Homecoming match against Christian School of York.
Shea Moyer (Northern Lebanon / Sr.) – Girls Volleyball: The senior helped Northern Lebanon go 3-0 during the week while reaching the 800-career-kill milestone. Moyer recorded 24 kills in a 5-set victory over Blue Mountain, while the Vikings also swept Lebanon and Columbia.
Meredith Noll (ELCO / Sr.) – Field Hockey: The senior and Towson University recruit produced 2 goals and 3 assists in ELCO’s 6-2 victory over Lancaster Mennonite, having a hand in 5 of the Raiders’ 6 goals.
Lucy Stellmach (Annville-Cleona / Jr.) – Cross Country: The junior turned in an impressive performance at the Carlisle Invitational, placing 7th overall in 20:14.9. Stellmach’s top-10 finish helped Annville-Cleona place 4th among 18 teams in the girls field.
Male Nominees
Benjamin Allwein (Annville-Cleona / So.) – Golf: The sophomore captured the Lancaster-Lebanon League Individual Championship on Monday at Meadia Heights Golf Club, firing a 1-under-par 70 to win by 3 strokes. Allwein navigated difficult conditions to claim the league title after finishing 5th as a freshman, giving Annville-Cleona its 2nd consecutive individual champion after Logan Francis won last fall.
Luke Byler (ELCO / Sr.) – Boys Soccer: The senior goalkeeper made an immediate impact after returning from an injury suffered earlier this season. Byler made 5 saves, including a penalty kick, to help ELCO earn a 2-1 road victory over Lampeter-Strasburg. He followed with another 5-save performance against Manheim Central, once again denying a penalty kick as the Raiders battled through a 1-0 loss.
Landon Graby (Northern Lebanon / Jr.) – Football: The junior made an impact on both sides of the ball in Friday’s 28-7 victory over Donegal. Graby rushed 18 times for 120 yards and 2 touchdowns while also recording 10 tackles defensively, helping the Vikings improve to 4-1.
Ryan Kerr (Palmyra / So.) – Boys Soccer: The sophomore scored 5 goals while helping Palmyra go 2-1 during the week. Kerr scored twice in a 2-0 victory over Northern York before delivering a hat trick in a 3-1 victory over rival Hershey, accounting for all 3 Cougar goals in the rivalry win.
Gavin Mesón (New Covenant / Sr.) – Boys Soccer: The senior totaled 3 goals and 1 assist during the week, including 2 goals directly from free kicks. Mesón continued to play a key role in facilitating the Flames’ attack and connecting play from the back to the front.
Jemar Pauleus (Cedar Crest / Jr.) – Boys Soccer: The junior scored 3 goals across 2 Cedar Crest victories, striking twice in a 3-1 win over Penn Manor before adding another in a 2-1 victory over Hempfield. Pauleus finished the week with 11 goals on the season.
Jaxin Robinson (Palmyra / So.) – Football: The sophomore contributed on both sides of the ball, catching 7 passes for 56 yards and 1 touchdown while adding 2 tackles and 1 interception defensively.
Gauge Soliday (Lebanon / Jr.) – Boys Soccer: The junior erupted for 2 goals and 3 assists in Saturday’s 6-1 victory over Lancaster Country Day, having a hand in 5 of the Cedars’ 6 goals. The offensive outburst helped Lebanon secure its 3rd victory of the season.
