Palmyra Bounces Back with 16-4 Win Over Northern York

After losing only their third game of the season to Red Land on Monday, the Cougars were eager to get back on their home turf on Wednesday evening to host Northern York. Palmyra responded in a big way, turning in a strong all-around performance in a 16-4 victory to improve to 8-3 on the season.

Ava Lantz and Megan Isett helped lead the offensive charge for the Cougars. Lantz finished with 3 goals and 3 assists, while Isett added 3 goals and 1 assist. Marina Kemmlein-Colon also had a big night in the attack, finding the cage 3 times as Palmyra quickly got back into rhythm offensively.

Adding to the balanced scoring effort were Ella Detwiler, who recorded 2 goals and 3 assists, and Bella Kenes, who chipped in 1 goal and 1 assist. Grace Frew, Lily Ferretti, Eloise Frailey, and Myka Lechleitner each scored once in the win as the Cougars got production from all over the field.

On the defensive end, Lily Ferretti contributed 4 ground balls and 1 caused turnover, while Savannah Epler delivered a huge performance in goal with 17 saves to help Palmyra control the game.

Palmyra (8-3) will now have off until Tuesday when they will host rival Lower Dauphin, a team they defeated 11-10 earlier this season.
