Falcons Celebrate Senior Night with Offensive Showcase Against Conrad Weiser
After playing some of their best lacrosse of the season, Cedar Crest came into Thursday night looking to bounce back from a narrow loss to Hempfield earlier in the week. Back at home for Senior Night, and playing in front of an online audience as part of the LebCo Sports Live series, the Falcons delivered with a 17-6 win over Conrad Weiser.
Grant Reesor led the offensive charge with 6 goals and 5 assists, while Nolan Brubaker added 5 goals and 2 assists as Cedar Crest controlled the game with a balanced and relentless attack.
The Falcons also got strong production from Connor McCracken, who scored 3 goals, while Jaxon Bechtold added 1 goal and 3 assists. Jaxon Bucher finished with 1 goal and 1 assist, and Joe Menicheschi also found the back of the net as Cedar Crest piled up 41 shots in the win.
Defensively, Paxton Thomas turned in another strong night in goal, finishing with 13 saves to help keep Conrad Weiser from building any sustained momentum. The Scouts were led by Beckam Sallade and Kole Kupper, who each scored 2 goals.
Cedar Crest is now 6-5 and will look to keep things going on Saturday when the Falcons host Palmyra in an important home matchup.
