(2-2)    Conestoga Valley 13, Cedar Crest 0

(3-1)    Cedar Crest 6, Conestoga Valley 0

D (2-2)    Conestoga Valley 20, Cedar Crest 12

The Falcon “B” Team suffered a tough loss, as Conestoga Valley did not allow them to get into an offensive rhythm. The defense, led with several tackles and sacks by Nate Marley, kept Cedar Crest in the game, but the lack of points doomed the ability to win. The team will focus on growth areas as they prepare for their upcoming games.

The Falcon “C” Team took the field looking to rebound from last week’s loss. The defense led the way by creating turnovers, beginning with Derrick Santana’s recovery of a Buckskin fumble. After the Falcon offense stalled, the defense again came up with a big play as Luke Helwig picked off a pass. The change of possession resulted in Cameron Wamsher finding Noah Wagner for a 20-yard touchdown reception. At the half, the Falcons held a 6-0 lead, resulting from all eleven defenders flying around the field. With the score remaining the same late in the game, Nolan Polite slammed the door on Conestoga Valley’s comeback hopes with an interception. The Cedar Crest coaching staff awarded the game ball to the entire Defensive unit.

The Falcon “D” Team started off hot and built a 12-0 lead within the game’s first four minutes. The offensive explosion came courtesy of touchdown runs by Logan Hallman and Nico Aungst. However, Conestoga Valley made adjustments and stymied the Falcons the rest of the way. The Buckskins pulled off the effort by controlling the line of scrimmage, relying on strong defense, and scoring three times on long touchdown runs. In the end, Conestoga Valley had to come up with a big stop when Cedar Crest was threatening to score late in the game. The Falcons, battling injury, have a lot to be proud of, with gritty performances by Kaidyn Rutter, Logan Bortz, and Matthew Hornick, who excelled despite playing out of position throughout the entirety of the contest.

Up NextCedar Crest will be on the road again this weekend as they travel to take on Penn Manor.

C    Solanco over Lebanon

D   No report

The Cedar “B” Team was without Patrick Fields, which meant that several other players needed to step up. They responded, with Julian Rodriguez Rivera filling his spot, resulting in three touchdowns. Solanco struggled to respond, with the Cedars looking excellent on defense, led by Magic Mercado. Yohan Guzman ran down the Mule ball carrier to prevent a touchdown in the game’s final seconds. The Friendship Cedars walked away with a major 19-6 victory.

The Cedar “C” Team did not have much luck scoring points, as they were blanked by the Solanco Mules in their most recent contest. Much of the credit goes to the Solanco defense, which plugged all of the holes and did not allow the Lebanon running backs to break out. The Cedar defense did their best, with Ethan Hernandez and Yan Rivera providing stellar performances.

On Sunday, the NLMFA hosted the Tri-Community Panthers for a four-game battle!

The Northern Lebanon Midget Vikings and the Central Dauphin East Tri-Community Panthers engaged in a fierce football match. Both teams, undefeated heading into the game, attracted attention from other teams in the league due to the playoff implications of the outcome. Towards the end of the first quarter, the Vikings claimed the first score when Jonathan Zimmerman, receiving a handoff, raced ten yards into the end zone. The left side of the offensive line demonstrated textbook blocking, allowing Zimmerman to reach the end zone untouched. Chris Camasta‘s extra point kick was successful, putting the Vikings ahead 8-0.

The 2nd quarter saw the game mainly unfold in the midfield. With 0.9 seconds remaining in the quarter, the Vikings called a timeout, seizing the opportunity to execute one final play before halftime. Quarterback Markus Miller capitalized on the moment, rolling to his right and throwing a deep touchdown pass to wide receiver Zimmerman. The buzzer sounded as the Vikings went into halftime with a 14-0 lead.

At the start of the 4th quarter, Zimmerman once again displayed his offensive prowess, rushing in for a 34-yard touchdown. On Tri-C’s next possession, it was Zimmerman again who made a significant impact, this time securing an interception for a touchdown. He read the slant route perfectly, leaping over the defender to secure another six points for the Vikings.

The Vikings’ defense had been consistently strong throughout the season, and on Sunday, defensive tackle Jackson Walter led the charge. His efforts resulted in multiple tackles for loss and disrupted numerous plays. Tri-C managed to get on the scoreboard late in the fourth quarter with a rushing touchdown. The Midget Vikings emerged victorious, with the final score standing at 26-6.

The Viking Pony squad brought home another victory this season, with two touchdowns rounding out the score 14-6, Vikings.

The Viking Smurf squad faced off against the Tri-Community Panthers and continued to show their strengths. Defensively, the Vikings rallied to the ball carrier led by Grady Wiest and Clayton Meyer. Logan Vogle and Abel Moyer were also in on key stops. Brycen Bortz and Mike Schumann stood out in the trenches on both sides of the ball, while Wiest, Cooper Wonderley, and Trey Moyer made the most of their opportunities on offense. The Viking Peewee squad was able to score a touchdown, but the Panthers pulled away with a 14-7 win.

Up Next: On Sunday, the Vikings will travel to take on the Middletown Blue Raiders.
